Review: I love the set. Original order was missing two pieces. Ordered another and it had full set but the board was peeling. They told me I didn’t have to return the other set. So, between the two we got a good set! Very satisfying to use.

Title: authentic pieces, convenient case, so-so board
Review: The pieces and the traditional Chinese characters on them are exactly like the ones I’ve seen in China.The wooden pieces feel very nice and has a pleasant aroma to them.The case makes it very easy to store and carry around.The leather has OK quality and has a cool-looking print on the front.The board is correct, though the material feels cheap.It’s hard to notice once you start playing, so this is not necessarily a downside.

Title: beautiful wooden pieces, however, chess board arrived damaged 🙁
Review: I really loved the wooden, engraved pieces – they are well made and appear durable. The chess board/box, however, unfortunately arrived in damaged condition. While the exterior is so beautifully crafted, we were disappointed to see that the inner creases were already lifted and peeling off. It seems the interior material is quite friable.

Title: Nice Set but most Symbols / Characters not accurate
Review: This is a nice set, high quality pieces and board but the Symbols / characters are not correct. I understand that the fonts are trying to be stylistic but results are too abstract; not even matching the pictures in the instruction sheet included in the set. I’ve been playing since I was young and currently guessing what some of the pieces are supposed to represent! May need to order another one as this is a tad confusing and do not want to teach the kiddos the wrong symbols!
