Review: Together We Roared is a look at the 12 years that Steve Williams caddied for golf phenom Tiger Woods during one of the most talked about periods in Woods career. The book is told in the third-person through the lens of co-author Evin Priest.Williams had been a caddie for many years, with many well known players, before landing the bag of Tiger Woods. The book chronicles both the working relationship, eventual friendship that developed between Williams and Woods and the unfortunate ending of what could be one of the best ever player/caddie combinations.While much of the book included things that have been reported previously, there were many details that have been unknown until now, which only provide more insight to how good this pairing really was and how much a golfer relies on their caddie. The book does a good job of showcasing Steve Williams character. It’s unfortunate how their partnership ended and the number of years that went on before they ever spoke again.I was very excited to read this book for so many reasons and I am very glad I got the opportunity to do so. I would highly recommend picking this one up!

Review: This book was an absolutely fantastic read. I can’t believe some of the insights into Tiger Woods’s relationship with caddie Steve Williams that have never been heard before. There is an amazing historical tone to this book, but at the same time it’s a real story about a working relationship/friendship that follows a three-act narrative: Steve and Tiger meet and have enormous success, they have a public and icy split after 12 years working together, and then come full circle in the end.It’s so nostalgic and beautifully written. I want to read it again! Also got the audiobook for my dad and he loved it. It’s a brilliantly paced story, with something in it for everyone.

Title: Fascinating Story
Review: This is an incredible read for anyone who loves golf, Tiger Woods or the behind the scenes experiences of one of the world’s most famous caddies. It focuses on their experience together from 1999 to 2011, and goes into extensive detail on the various tournaments and events they participated in over those years. It gives insight into the decisions the pair made at critical holes, the joy and disappointment they shared and how the golfer and caddie interacted in their unspoken way. It focuses much less on the personal aspect of either of their lives; so don’t expect much drama or gossip fodder.

Title: Together we Bored
Review: Written in the 3rd person (not my style) made for a book that should have been called “Together We Bored”. I was just not impressed with it. Many paragraphs of fillers of information a pro golf follower already knows. I kept looking for the quotation marks when Stevie offered his comments to the co-writer. They were cryptic, and 1/2” deep, not the meaty book I was hoping for. I think Steve Williams may have been fearful of a Tiger backlash if he really wrote what he was thinking and is thinking today, but he did take the high road, and together they snored. This is my honest take on the book, and I have read many good golf books about pro players, and about golf. Steve Williams should have picked a better writer to help him.

Review: This book is phenomenal. Firstly, to hear what it was like to be alongside Tiger for so many years for the highs and lows of 12 years in amazing. The level of detail, research, interviews from both Steve and Evin is unreal. The book is so beautifully written, that after every chapter you’re torn between taking a moment to absorb what you’ve just read, and diving into the next chapter to find out more.There are so many new pieces of information in this book and it’s so refreshing to hear both the on-course and off-course revelations. I’ve already bought copies for my family because this truely is a MUST READ. Even if you are r a massive golf fan, this book has something for everyone.

Review: I usually read a few books at a time but I found myself wanting to keep reading this whenever I had time to read. I listened to parts of it on audiobook when I was on long drives and it was the best time passer. So positive and captivating, it would have been awesome to witness all of the incredible moments Steve and Evin have recalled in the book. I would love to see these guys write more on historic golf moments!
