Review: The Communist Manifesto needs no introduction. Ironically, when Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels first authored it, they believed the text would disappear into extinction due to the dissolution of The Communist League and the Cologne Communist Trials. The text experienced a rebirth and popularity years in the future.In truth, The Communist Manifesto gives a very helpful clarification on the stages of evolution in the modes of production and appropriation across time from feudalism to capitalism, i.e., historical materialism, and points out the organic birth of the proletariat from the property relations of capitalism, a.k.a. the gravediggers of the bourgeoisie. Furthermore, the treatment enumerates the forms of socialism, e.g., reactionary, petty-bourgeois, true-idealist, utopian, etc.If you study The Communist Manifesto, recall that Karl and Friedrich authored this relatively early in their lives, less than 30 years old. It increases the excitement of the text to imagine the hysteria and anger of the secret police hunting through the streets trying to arrest communists as they convened in secrecy.I would urge anyone, whether communist or capitalist, to study The Communist Manifesto, even if only to see into the brain of a communist. You might relate to it more than you suspect.

Title: recommend version with introduction by Leon Trotsky
Review: I recommend the edition of the Communist Manifesto with an introduction by Leon Trotsky, the Russian revolutionary leader and preeminent Marxist leader after Lenin’s death. Trotsky discusses which ideas in the Manifesto “retain their full force today and those which require important alteration or amplification.” In the process, he highlights the most important conclusions in the Manifesto, some of which are so concise in the Manifesto itself you might not realize you’ve just read something major.(To find the edition, go to amazon.com/advanced-search/books and enter Author “Leon Trotsky” instead of Marx, and Title “Communist Manifesto”.)This edition has other advantages. It also includes:– The preface to the 1872 German edition, which adds an important new conclusion to the Manifesto, based on the 1871 uprising in France. Review: Should’ve included some friendly cartoon characters interacting with graphics & maps + cultural foundational taboos to provide distinctions between ethic origins & solutions that worked or failed in various contexts that would piece together a more universal solution— & provide an explanation for why communist societies are exclusively lead by such suppressive antievolutionists ( technology & independent entrepreneurs with fresh ideas ( ? )

Review: The theological secular horror of our time. CIA Director John Brennen voted Communist. This should tell you something about the United States but you will only understand the current chaos of the US if you read the Manifesto, then read it again, and then reread the Manifesto. Annihilate all morality and all religion, establish Free Trade, Centralized all communication by the government, establish Democracy, annihilate Justice, Liberty, and Freedom all to support the New Jerusalem and monopoly of the World Market. Eliminate nationality, family and eliminate borders. Overturn and destroy the existing state of things! In the Manifesto the proletariat becomes more and more ‘equalized’, meaning reduced to nothing, powerlessness, silenced, in the scripted struggle. This is the real meaning behind the lie of Utopianism Marxist try to sell to people. No one person has more power than the other. You are all silenced and equalized. Think about that for two seconds and ponder the horror. Who has say in the Communist Marxist system? Only the bankers. Not even a billionaire like Trump cannot change the system in the US, so now you have some perspective your Marxist Neo Liberal professor did not give you. Marxism is based on One Totalitarian Government. Communism is a theological creation sold in a secular package to ideologues who don’t read or understand Marx’s theology.

Title: Great for its price!
Review: While the quality is not the greatest, for the cheap price there isn’t much to ask. I needed the manifesto for a college class and this edition was perfect and got the job done.The front and back covers are made of glossy thick paper. The actual pages are rather thin having a degree of opacity but nothing that may be too obtrusive. Two staplers together hold everything.The contents of the book are just the Communist Manifesto and Engels’ notes/annotations. For most people this will be enough. Many of the more expensive copies of the manifesto tend to include prefaces or annotations by other authors, while this is just the Communist Manifesto.
