Title: Manual focus lens – useless without a tripod.
Review: Highly impractical tool, and here’s why:Useless without a tripod, and honestly when does anyone ever carry around a tripod with their iPhone?This is a manual focus lens, does not work with the auto focus of the camera, and the zoomed in image on your screen will shake so much you’ll never be able to tell if you are in focus or not.One star may not be fair – after all it’s very well built – but if you can’t use it on the go, it defies its purpose.Good in theory only.

Title: One fatal flaw
Review: Produces some great images if you’re on a tripod, but this anamorphic lens does not work if you plan to be handheld the majority of the time or plan to use it with a variable ND filter. The fact that the lens rotates independently of the mount means your lens flares will constantly be crooked if you are using it as a run and gun or if you adjust a thread mounted variable ND. Just putting it in my bag caused it to rotate. Really wanted to like this, but without a means to lock the rotation of the lens in place it just isn’t very practical.

Review: Ich habe ja schon ein älteres Anamorph Objektiv, daß allerdings mit den größeren Sensoren der neuen iPhones nicht zu recht kommt. Das Freewell ist jetzt das 4te welches ich ausprobiert habe und das einzige welches das Prädikat “Behaltenswert” bekommt. Natürlich ist es nicht das selbe wie ein 50000.- Euro Anamorph Objektiv, aber für 150 € eine solide Leistung. Unschärfen am Rand hat es natürlich, aber die sündteuren genauso. Die Lensflares sind aber bei dieser Marke finde ich am besten. Beastgrip soll auch gut sein, ist aber in Europa so gut wie nicht zu bekommen, und wenn dann nur mit Zoll und Versandgebühren.Ich werde mir vermutlich auch noch die Goldene Variante bestellen.PS:ich habe die 17mm Schraubvariante. Es gibt sie auch mit Bajonett, aber da muß man dann die Sherpa Cases dazu nehmen. Wer noch keine bestehende Ausrüstung hat, kann auch Sherpa nehmen, denn dieses System ist, finde ich sehr gut durchdacht.

Review: Eine solche Qualität kenne ich noch von den Zeiss Exolens Zeiten. Keine Verzeichnungen oder Aberationen bis in die Ecken. Das ist für das Smartphone echt gut angelegtes Geld für eine weitere Sicht im Bild.

Review: Das Set wird in einer bedruckten Kartonverpackung geliefert.Das Set besteht aus dem Objektiv, einer hochwertigen Aufbewahrungstasche , einem Putztuch und zwei Aufklebern.Das Objektiv ist wirklich sehr hochwertig und gut verarbeitet, da gibt es absolut nichts zu meckern. Was ich allerdings nicht ganz auf dem Schirm hatte ist das bei dem Set keine Halterung bzw. Hülle mit Objektivaufnahme mitgeliefert wird. Man benötigt zwingend entweder eine Handy Hülle mit 17mm Objektivaufnahme oder eine Halterung um das Objektiv am Handy zu montieren.Etwas schade das dem Set nicht einmal ein kleiner Clip bei liegt, so muss man sich noch etwas passendes dazu bestellen.Da man das Objektiv nicht wirklich out of the Box benutzen kann gibt es von mir nur drei Sterne.
