Title: Works great with TV to add speakers
Review: This is awesome. My Dad asked me to help get a speaker to put near Mom cause she always has a Fan going next to her and turns the TV louder than he likes it so she can hear it.So I was able to link this to a Bluetooth speaker and put that next to her and he can set the TV speaker to his liking. So far works good. Initially we had a challenge trying to use the Altafiber cable box Bluetooth which it has but once that’s turned on the TV speakers were off …. It would only allow 1 of the other.Using the optical light pipe cable (that came with this) from the cable box to this transmitter allows the TV speakers to still work through HDMI for to TV speakers and optical into this BluTooth transmitter to the wireless speaker. I have not tried linking up additional speakers or headphones I think this thing says can do 2 or 3…

Title: It does the job
Review: This is just what I needed. My purpose for this item is to be able to watch the TV at night without bothering anybody. My TV does not have bluetooth connectivity, so this transmitter provides just that. I now can transmit the sound to my earphones without broadcasting any sound from the TV speakers. I can now adjust the volume as loud as I need without getting any complains. The product comes with the different cables needed to pick the sound out of the TV (Aux, coaxial or optical). The USB-C power cable is short, depending on your setup, you very likely might need to get a longer one as well as the USB wall piece.

Title: Keeps disconnecting
Review: This device takes so many attempts to connect to my AirPods and even when it does it frequently cuts off. My AirPods are clearly connected to the device – it dings and has a stable blue light – so I think there is something wrong with the transmitter as well. I disabled Bluetooth on every device in my house that syncs to my AirPods (it won’t work at all if don’t do this so it’s super annoying) but it will still stop working while I’m using it.

Title: Perfect for an older TV without bluetooth. The delay is acceptable.
Review: I tried 3 other bluetooth transmitters, and you definitely want one with digital input, like this one. The others add noise to the sound because of the noisy 5V power coming from the USB jack. By contrast, this delivers a flawless digital signal to the headphones. I have mine connected with the optical cable. The headset I’m using is an Aftershockz bone conduction headset, which doesn’t support AptX low latency… likewise, this transmitter also doesn’t support AptX, so keep that in mind if you goal is perfect lip synced audio. The only way to get perfect audio and video sync is to have both an AptX transmitter, and an AptX capable headset. Having said that, the lag on this is acceptable. This uses A2DP, which has a 30ms to 40ms delay. For context, a second is 1000ms, so the delay is 0.04 seconds. For some people, that’s unacceptable for others, it’s minor. Before you nitpick though, let me tell you a little secret about movie production… All of the spoken audio in movies is re-recorded in a studio, AFTER the scene is shot. The actors all have to watch themselves on a screen and lipsync the words they spoke on filing day. So… exactly how perfect do you think the original video and audio sync is? Not perfect… Actors don’t have 30ms accuracy on their lip syncing. Sure, the editors can ‘fix it in post’… a little… but there are time and cost limits there, and budget overruns usually happen long before the editors start getting paid. Bottom line, if you already have a headset that is not AptX capable… get this. If you are buys all new, make sure you get both a transmitter and headset with AptX. Enjoy.
