Review: I have a similar case from another vendor – it works GREAT! The hinge protector slides into the bottom case smoothly and reliably. This one looks the same, but does not work – the hinge protector buckles and folds and pushes the bottom case off the phone. I wish the other vendor made theirs in yellow.

Review: UPDATE: 2 months later, the hinge protection has broken, and the case is unusable. The adhesive holding the hinge protection in place came loose while the phone was folded in my pocket, leaving it unable to open or close properly. While my concerns about longevity were clearly warranted, I stand by my original review. Solid case, just dont expect it to have a long lifespan.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the best Z Flip 5 case I have found to date. Most of the cases for the z flip form factor are… questionable. This is a well designed case with lots of pros and a few cons.PROS:- Fits the phone well. Does not slide or come off unintentionally.- Pleather is surprisingly nice. Woven texture gives a “carbon fiber” look and feels surprisingly similar to genuine leather. You can definitely tell it isn’t leather, but it is closer than an untextured pleather case.- Elastic/pleather hinge protection holds the two pieces of the case together.- Raised bezel around cover screen allows the phone to lay flat.- This is very likely the best Z Flip 5 case available at this price point.CONS:- the hinge protection is basically pressure fitted. It seems to be held in the case only by the pressure of the phone in the case. Slides around and has to be adjusted during install. I am concerned about the longevity of the hinge protection. Seems like it may stretch or fray over time.- There is a visible seam around the entire edge of the case. I was surprised to see this after experiencing the high quality of other Foluu z flip 5 cases with smooth molding and soft touch texture.- Not compatible with cover screen protectors. This case lifted and broke the Spigen screen protector I had on when I installed it.Overall, this is an excellent case. I would be willing to pay more for a higher quality version which fixes these issues and uses premium materials. For now, this case remains on my phone and remains the best I’ve found.
