Review: With the multitude of devices, I now need to charge everywhere, a couple of USB sockets in the car are essential. But a couple of problems I have are firstly me sat nav has a HUGE charger attached to it which sticks out in front of the gear knob. And when I’m using that, I can’t plug in my phone to charge. So, I wanted a solution. Previously, I tried a couple of cheap plastic double sockets, most don’t last long (if they work at all) And they keep falling out. But this one is very different…Firstly, and surprisingly…it’s solid metal and very well built, the spring is very strong and when inserted it stays put, even over speed bumps. It’s also quite shallow, it doesn’t protrude much at all, so again a great advantage if your socket is next to the gear knob.So, this device is a real must-have accessory. It converts the “cig lighter” power socket into two standard USB sockets. I simply use a USB cable to power me sat nav and a USB to lightening cable, to charge my iPhone whilst on the go. (or my passenger can charge there’s with an appropriate USB cable).If your car is wired properly, you should never need to unplug it, but in one of my cars, the lighter socket is always live, even if the car ignition is off. In the past, this has led to a flat battery with the sat nav being left on for a week, whilst the car was parked. So, a feature I love about this is the blue LED ring around it, reminding me it on (and in my case -to unplug it when not in use.)I’m so pleased to have found this product. I’ve been so disappointed with the others I’ve tried, but this is far superior to the cheap plastic ones I’ve had in the past. It addresses all my charging problems. Solid, strong, well made, illuminated and low profile. And complete with a USB cable (which you may or may not use). If you need a USB socket in your car then this is the product you want. Don’t be put off by the low price, this is worth every penny. Brilliant!

Review: The unit plugs into the car’s cigar/cigarette lighter socket, and charges well through either USB A output. The power for each socket is listed as 2.5 volts at 3 amps, 9 volts at 2 amps, or 12 volts at 1.5 amps (see photo). I have used it to charge only my phone, which works fine. The digital display on the unit shows the input voltage (see photos), but the figures displayed are upside down compared to the text on the body of the front of the unit (QC3.0 top and bottom), which suggests a lack of attention to detail and therefore possibly durability. Other than that, this is a good functional unit. 4 stars.
