Review: Reckless by Lauren RobertsMy Book Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Spoiler Free Review: This is some of the best banter I’ve found in the romantasy genre! If you were a fan of Powerless, you’ll likely love this second book. I felt the world building and storyline were a bit lacking in this one. Some aspects became repetitive, like with characters escaping, being captured, escaping, captured… But honestly, I didn’t come here for an SJM Throne of Glass, seven book epic. The details and world building never felt lacking, they just aren’t the main plot focus. The pacing kept things moving along nicely. Lauren sucked me in with Powerless with the banter and slow burn between our two main characters. I was looking for more, and boy did she deliver.I’ve seen this book suggested alongside a lot of other books with spice. I believe Lauren has stated that she will be keeping this trilogy YA. But seriously don’t let that stop you. This was such a fun, light read!Cover/Jacket – I’m a big stickler for keeping design elements consistent over the length of a series. This hardcover jacket is beautiful and matches the design of Powerless well. Under the jacket, I actually LOVE the simplistic designs on the front hardcovers. The sword and arrow compliment each other nicely. The continuity shifts a bit on the hardcover spines. The Powerless text is noticeably larger than Reckless…ugh. Why must publishers do this to us!! Not too much of a dealbreaker as I’ll be displaying these with the jackets on. I won’t comment on the size difference with Powerful… 😅Product/Shipping: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Arrived on time in great condition.

Title: Kai and Pae Forever No Matter What
Review: Rating: 4|5 ⭐I just have say that I am obsessed with Pae and Kai. Like they are my endgame, and I will not take any slander upon them. Lauren could write a whole other book with just their banter, and I would EAT it up. However, declaring my love of those two can’t just be the only thing that I loved and didn’t love throughout this whole book, even as much as I wish it was.I’ve seen plenty of reviews of this book, because I finally finished it after an eternity. And the general consensus is that there are mixed reviews all around. With which I am tending to agree with on both sides. One of the biggest problems with this book, that most people have seemed to agree upon, is that this book lacks the plot that the previous book had to it. Which is definitely true, and nothing REALLY went on in this book that really changed the trajectory of the story in any way that was significant. However, without that, we as readers were given a more personal lens to see the relationship between Pae and Kai blossom. And I’m here for it honestly.I also have seen that people were either torn about the ending. With some people guessing from the very first POV of Kitt to not really knowing until it was revealed at the end. I do have to say for myself, I saw the ending coming from a mile away, I was just confused on why it was going to happen. Although, we don’t get an answer to that question quite yet, there are some really interesting theories about it, so I can’t wait till Fearless comes out and we get answers to our questions.Overall, my opinion about this book is nothing but positive and I enjoyed seeing Pae and Kai together with this will they, won’t they when they definitely should vibe going on. The tension, the banter and the romance had me swooning; but then again, I’m a hopeless romantic at heart. If you’ve loved the story line so far in the series (from Powerless to Powerful) and you don’t mind some heavy romance with little plot in this book, I recommend a read of it. I’m hoping that it is setting us up for some big moments in the next book.Enjoy Readers! <3

Review: This book was amazing! Was there a plot line in this book? No. Was there a whole bunch of fluff? Yes. But I am here for it! I love these characters so much and their relationship. I could read about their banter and relationship all day.Paedyn is on the run from the Enforcer. After being exposed as an Ordinary and killing the king, Pae needs to get out of Ilya. Now in Dor, Pae begins working the honest job of an underground fighter. But once Kai shows up, everything is thrown out of whack. But as they continue their little game, they begin to realize maybe their hearts aren’t as safe as they once believed.
