Title: Great book study
Review: I read this book with a friend and we had such an amazing time reading this together and learning new perspectives of just who God is. She really prove what we’ve been taught about God and his traits but shows them in a way we can understand.

Title: Jen Wilkin’s materials need to be added to every Christian’s library
Review: In my opinion, Jen Wilkin is one of the most important teachers of our time. In a time where Christian resources and a plethora of ideas abound, we need solid exposition and teaching, and Jen Wilkin is that. If she is anything, she is faithful to the Word of God. Her materials do not reek of fluff and silly alliteration or other literary devices. In contrast, her illustrations are meaningful and relatable, bringing depth and context to the point at hand. Wilkin is at once profound yet accessible. After working through Tozer, Grudem, and Pink in studying God’s character and attributes, her book is a welcome change, well organized and easily grasped.Readers should know that this book is a study of the 10 Incommunicable Attributes of God (attributes true only of Him) whereas her new release, “In His Image” is a study of his communicable attributes (attributes true of God and of the believer). Early on in this book she provides a list of both of these. His incommunicable attributes that are discussed in this book are:1. Infinite2. Incomprehensible3. Self-Existent4. Self-Sufficient5. Eternal6. Immutable7. Omnipresent8. Omniscient9. Omnipotent10. SovereignEach chapter is followed with verses for meditation and questions to journal through. Could easily be used for a book club and/or women’s study. I’m using it as a resource to develop materials for our upcoming women’s retreat at church. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Review: …and well-written. Wilkin says this is a book written for women, but as a man I benefited greatly from exploring these ten attributes of God and how they emphasize that He is so different from us. And believe me, they DO matter!

Review: Jen Wilkin’s latest masterpiece, *None Like Him*, is like a spiritual wake-up call, flipping our perceptions of God upside down! If you’re after a warm and fuzzy take on Christianity, you might want to grab a tissue because this book is a whole different ballgame. I dove in knowing God is not just another buddy, but wow, did it hit me how often I tried to play God in my own life! I was trying to snatch up His divine qualities like they were on sale, leaving me with a hefty dose of conviction!Wilkin brilliantly lays out ten ways God is totally one-of-a-kind, diving into His limitless nature and mind-blowing power. And just when you think it’s all about Him, she flips it back to us, revealing our sneaky little desire to be like Him. This struggle kicked off with Eve in the garden and is still going strong today—talk about a divine dilemma!In my book, everyone should grab a copy of this gem. It’s a thought-provoking and eye-opening journey into our relationship with the Big Guy upstairs!

Title: An Excellent Book for Knowing God, Trusting Him More, and Growing in your Relationships with Others.
Review: If I could give this book more than five stars, I would.In None Like Him Author Jen Wilkin shares from her years of study 10 ways that God is different than us. She starts by talking about the many influential scholars and theologians who have gone before her in the pursuit of Theology. In this book, Wilkin brings high-theological terms like immutability and Sovereignty into terms and concepts that are understandable to the masses.One of the strong suits that Wilkin brings to this discussion is how relatable and understandable she makes each of these concepts. In doing so, she also invites us to examine our own lives to see how we might be trying to play God unwittingly. There wasn’t a chapter that she wrote that I didn’t walk away from growing in both my Trust in God and my relationship with others.One weakness however is that some of the stories and examples that she uses might be difficult to understand outside of an American context.Overall, I do recommend this book to growing Christians as a resource to help them know more about the God they worship!

Title: A concise read with enough to chew on when it’s over. It’s one that I’ll read again and again.
Review: I absolutely love this book. I typically have a hard time reading anything other than fiction, but this book spoke to my heart about the true nature of God. I love how Jen uses language you’ve heard a million times in church, but presents the qualities of God in a fresh and exciting way. None Like Him is 158 pages and only 10 chapters so it’s a quick enough read if you’re crunched for time, but meaty enough to walk away ideas and thoughts to chew on. I love how there are Verses for Meditation, Questions for Reflection, and Prayers written at the end of each chapter/ quality of God. This could very easily be used as a book study or Bible study and provide lots of material for deep conversation. I have a relationship with Christ, but the ideas of “Knowing God” and “Understanding the nature of God” always seemed a little distant and far-off because of how mysterious he is. But the more I read this book and realized how MIGHTY and HUGE God really is, it simultaneously cast out my self-pride, but made me feel more loved and understood by God than ever before. I woke up early to read this book, and I found myself thinking about it long after I was finished with the chapter I had completed. I highly recommend this book. The only complaint I have is that it has flowers on the front cover- I can’t really ask my husband to carry this around and read it. 🙂

Review: I really love this book. I’ve listened to it on audible and used the kindle book to read back through and do the study questions and meditations on verses. So many books I read on Christian living are self-focused, but this book is excellent as it is God focused.In our navel gazing culture, we need a reminder to “look up” and to consider Gods nature and size, not to be focused on our problems. This book challenges and leads me to want to change, but that’s because the focus is on who God is and how the knowledge of who God is should change me, not beginning with myself and what needs changing.I read this during quite a trial in my life and it has really helped me to focus on what is important – God – and helped me to trust Him more and love Him even more deeply than I did before. That’s what a good sermon/ book should do – point you to God. 🙂

Review: Jen Wilkin has written a winsome and compelling read in None Like Him. There is so much to delight about in knowing how and why God is so different from us and why that’s a good thing. In many ways, it helps creation rediscover it’s purpose and awe in its Creator. Certain parts of the book spring to life and register an imperative reminder that only God can be God and we cannot even if we tried. It liberates, transforms and incites us to know who we are and who God is. Excellent read!
