Title: Fantastic fun
Review: Super quick and fun.I don’t normally care for dice huckers, but this is 1 of the exceptions. Competing to catch fish with a level of strategy and deceit all in an easy to carry vessel.Cards, boards and dice are all good quality. Rules are simple to teach and learn. Gameplay goes pretty quick especially with just 2 players, my favorite count for this game so far. And the price is reasonable.

Title: Fun game – great fun for 2 players
Review: There are a lot of new board games out there. Many of them say they can be played with 2 players and they are generally just … not fun, I hate to say it, with that few people. This cute little game was very enjoyable with just myself and my partner.The game was very easy to learn and understand – another problem with modern games – too complicated. We played probably 5 games or so in about an hour/hour and half. It is almost a double-edged issue for us as when the game was ending, it felt like it would be nice to have it go just a little bit longer – the game feels almost too short. The element of hiding your dice from your opponent and have rules based on how many dice you selected for a turn was a fun and refreshing idea from a board game from my experience.The fish cards are all high quality with nice printing. The box everything comes in is a little annoyingly small though. Everything just barely fits in there with the box closed flush. I would like to see the box be just a little bit bigger to be more forgiving and not have to place items in there just so.This is a great little game. I would give this one a solid recommend due to its ease of learning and quick gameplay. It is the type of game you could throw into a backpack for a weekend trip or something as its fun, but does not require a huge time commitment. There are very few games I would put in this exclusive category, personally.

Title: Little box, big fun
Review: I was genuinely surprised by how much we enjoy this game! We’re not interested in the theme really at all, but this simple luck bidding game really caught our attention. This small box contains components of excellent quality. Beautiful dice, lovely cards that are a pleasure to shuffle, and sturdy player shields that are big enough to hide my giant mits when fumbling around with what dice to select. The game plays quickly and as one might expect is hugely reliant on luck. Someone can consistently underbid and get lucky while someone else can play a very conservative game and strike out. For us it tended to even out, but we definitely had some games where one person seemed either blessed or cursed. The game plays very differently at different player counts. We had a much different experience at 2 than 3, because there is no scaling between those counts. I prefer it at 2, where every turn is a zero sum face off–at 3 with nothing scaled, you will tend to have an Odd One Out, which can lead to some FeelsBad moments. Still, this is a great game in a tiny box that can be taken and played anywhere in a very short amount of time. Recommended.

Review: Pros:* NO PHONE APP NEEDED!!!* Kids enjoy the theme, and adults enjoy the gameplay* Very simple to learn, just know the D20 and D12 dice are the “special dice” mentioned briefly in the rules. If you use these for the “cast” phase, you cannot use them for the next round (take a 1 round break).Read the reviews before ordering this game, and was hoping this lived up to the hype. Was delightly surprised on how fun this game was to play with my younger children. Bear in mind, any kid under the age of 6 might have a harder time grasping some concepts, but kids older than 5 seems to really enjoy the overall strategy and def the theme of “catching fish”. Hint, I did to! Pretty satisfied with the overall mechanic of this game, and how well the kids kept their attention. There’s enough diversity of strategy and objectives to keep interest for multiple play-throughs.Read the rules CLOSELY, or simply watch a 5 minute view online, Tom Vassel even does one. There is an expansion called “Deep Waters”, which I have not played. Overall, fun game, good ice breaker as well.
