Title: Nice Case – However Sleep/Wake Function Does Not Work
Review: This review is for the Amazon New Kindle Fire HD 8 HD8 Smart Cover (2016 Release,6th) (2017 Release, 7th) (2018 Release,8th) Ultra Slim Folio Stand Sleep/Wake Up Leather Case +1x Clear Screen Protector (Li-Brown). Overall, it is a lovely faux leather case. The inside front has a felt-like material to protect the screen. The lip for the stand (back of cover) holds up nicely. The case itself is quite sturdy and fits perfectly with my HD 8, 8th Generation Kindle.Unfortunately, the sleep/wake function does NOT work as described. It would have been a nice feature (if it was functioning properly) but not a necessary one. As stated before, I have the HD 8, 8th Generation, so my toggle on/off button is on the top right, making it easily accessible when I open/close the case. Another bypass option is that I set my Kindle to sleep after 2 minutes of inactivity.Note – a screen protector is also included in the package. But b/c my Kindle already has a screen protector, I did not use the one provided. Therefore, I cannot comment on this screen protector.

Title: Nice case, looks and feels good
Review: I needed a new case and this one fits very well. Quality shows all over. However when powered on, the case depends on the Fire Tablet to go to sleep and when I open it, it does not wake up the tablet. I then have to push the button to get the tablet to wake up. this causes a loss of battery by not sleeping when closed. For the price, I expected better function.

Title: Terrible fit and quality.
Review: This is one of the worst quality items ever…it’s barely tall enough to fit your Kindle as you try and muscle it in the enclosure leaving the sensitive top and bottom of the Kindle exposed to damage. Mine went directly into the trash!
