Title: Creative Game
Review: It’s a fun game for teens and older. There’s a good balance of random setup, randomness to cards, and strategy in how you approach the game that makes the repeat gameplay good. It is a bit rough around the edges.I think the game is physically too small, and the circular stage is a waste of space. Many parts of the game are hard for people like my father to see. It’d be better if the random tile cards were bigger, and there were more of them. Again, the circular stage is big, for no apparent reason other than to make a circular game stage, shrinking playable part of the game board (which is the tiles). It’s not bad, and the second print seems like it might fix some basic issues like contrast, spelling typos and instructional clarity. Overall, it’s a creative game.

Title: GREAT GAME!
Review: Our family played this game afer only hearing good things about it from friends and the game did not disappoint! The thrill to race your way to the end, by advancing using the terrain and experience cards brought out the strategy in eveyone as we played. It was well played by all of and will be traveling with us to more game nights to come.

Title: Strategic and Fun
Review: Fun game, with lots of different options for the win. Different versions make it a shorter or longer game. We played at a family reunion and everyone wanted to play multiple times. The video attached to the QR code is helpful in understanding the basic rules to get started. I would highly recommend this game!

Title: A fun game that takes a bit of time to figure out
Review: I got this for my brother as a Christmas gift and during Christmas break we played a game with our 20-something sons. It took a bit of time to figure out the play and how to get started – we went back and forth between the “quick start” guide and the YouTube video and managed to figure out. Generally speaking the game play is similar to Settlers of Catan, but a LOT easier to get started playing and doesn’t have the complex strategy you’d use in a longer game of Settlers. That being said, it has enough variation that the play is interesting and unique from other board games. We did find one flaw however, and that was the “illness” card which can be played against another player that knocks them out of play until they draw a “med kit” card (or something like that). The problem is that there are only a couple of those medkit cards and the player with the illness can be idled for a LONG time, with basically very little change of catching back up again. We felt this was the only element of the game that felt unbalanced. The other odd feature was the “Swamp” card – the instructions are not very clear about their specific use and it’s hard to understand how they could be most effectively used in a strategy. But other than those two little quirks, we found the game to be a lot of fun to play, particularly in the longer form where you tend to specialize in a particular skill and then try to route yourself along that path in order to move quickly and less expensively. The overall quality of the materials is very good – the printed cut-outs are very good quality, the tiles and game board feel really good and the art is pretty cool, although it was at time hard to distinguish between very similar colors of cards and play tiles. The plastic figurines are a bit cheap and flimsy, feeling like something I would have gotten out of a gumball machine as a kid, but they work on the board well, since they need to be pretty small. I think up-scaling the entire game by about 20% would have been a good idea, but for today’s generation raised on doing everything on a 6″ phone screen maybe it’s not a problem. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a new kind of board game or want a gift for someone that likes adventure sports and board games, this is a really fun game to try out.

Title: More strategic and challenging than it looks
Review: When looking at this game and scanning the rules, it seemed like a pretty simple game. Race from the start through checkpoints to the finish line. Play cards to move through different terrains in order to move and gain some special items to help you along the way. That is basically the game, but it’s much more difficult to accomplish than one would think. Limits posed by the cards in your hand, the dice roll, and your expertise on certain terrains make this game much more difficult to conquer than it seems at first blush. You’ll have to manage your hand, avoid swamps, set up combos, and maybe just sit in one spot for multiple turns until you finally get what you need. It’s pretty challenging and pretty fun.
