A quick rundown of this product’s key features:

💦[Extend DIY CH] UV-9G has set 31-54 CH as DIY repeater channels except for the common 23-30 CH. So you have a total of 4 groups of repeating frequencies to set different CTCSS/DCS as well as reduce the interruptions.
💦[GMRS Version] New upgraded version of UV-9R / GT-3WP. UV-9G has 30 GMRS pre-programmed channels & 11 NOAA channels with weather radio alert function. UV-9G is ready to go, right out of the box even outdoors. FCC ID: 2AJGM-P52UV (Part 95E & Part 15B Certificated). VHF & UHF receiver. Compatible with all BAOFENG FRS/GMRS radios.
💦[IP67 Waterproof] Compared to older models, the UV-9G has better water and dust resistance. This GMRS radio can be submerged in 3 feet/1 meters deep water for 30 minutes without any damage. Better quality but lower cost.
💦[Long Range for Adults] No GMRS repeater is required and the range can be up to 5 miles with obstacles. It can catch a further-ranging signal with a GMRS repeater. UV-9G six way charger is recommended when multiple radios or batteries need to be charged.
💦[NOAA Weather Scanning] No cellular signals in adventures? UV-9G can stand by 24/7, receive instant weather report from NOAA channels, and keep you informed.

Title: Best GMRS Handheld out there!!
Review: Very impressed with the quality of the radio, ease of programming (used chirp), and performance. Purchased 4 radios in all – no issues whatsoever! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, waterproof, full featured GMRS handheld radio that outperforms many that are more expensive.

Title: Great GMRS Radio
Review: Just recently got my GMRS license, so seen this radio and the reviews and ordered one up. I got the radio and used it with some other licensed GMRS users and it worked great. Range was pretty good with varying terrain. So I bought another to use in the family.

Title: Seems decent, some odd features
Review: I believe this is a good product. I can confirm that the unit I received doesn’t have the issues of privacy codes being programmed for every channel, and doesn’t have the problem transmitting on channel 15, that was previously noted in reviews and videos. I like the display backlighting that changes color when transmitting, receiving, and in standby mode. The screw to hold the programming port closed is a little infuriating, but due to the water resistance of the radio, I can understand why it’s like that. With that said, the belt clip is a little wonky. It’s not defective, it’s just a different kind using a removable piece that isn’t permanently attached to the radio. I usually just clip my radios to my pocket, so this didn’t work well for me. Also, this doesn’t have a specific NOAA weather function – the NOAA weather channels are regular listening channels in your channel mode list. So, if you’re in scan mode, it’s going to stop on a weather channel every few seconds. It looks like you can take those channels out of the scan list using the Baofeng software, but then you have to remember which weather channel your area has, and manually go to that channel, and you can’t re-scan weather channels until you connect with the software again. I also prefer to have my radios display the channel name and number on the top line and the frequency on the bottom line, as an option instead of the A/B channel configuration. It doesn’t appear that I can do this on this model. Im comparing all this to my other GMRS HT, Radioodity GM30 that has a solid belt clip, separate weather function and the ability to display the channel name, number and the frequency instead of dual channels. However, aside from those minor things, this doesn’t have a appear to be a solid, reliable product for the price, with an impressive amount of extras in the box.
