Title: So far the best diet I have ever done.
Review: I am 47 and stuggled with my weight most of my life. Usually between 15 to 20lbs. My life has been recorded by the thin times and heavy times. lol Then the 40’s hit. Went from a size 10 to a 12. Fought like crazy not to let that happen then finally said all right 12 is not bad for a 40 something. (I am 5ft 7in) Those quickly became tight, so my 40’s have been a struggle to stay in my 12’s. I had planned on waiting to write this review as I see how things ended up, but given my results I have to share. I have finished day 3 and I am down 10lbs. I have not seen any reviews with those result. The only thing close that I have ever experianced this kind of weight loss was with Michael Thurman. 11 lbs in a week, but I could’nt bring myself to stay on it. I grant that I have been half way doing a protein diet with shakes lots of eggs and cheese and peanut butter. I am guessing at least one of those are very high inflamation for me. Ï retain a huge amount of water weight and that is gone. Usually I have dents in my legs from my socks and they are gone. I feel very sore, my feet hurt, ankles and over all joint discomfort. All seems to be impoving. Overall I just feel better.So far it has been easy to be on. I do a protein drink in the morning (not hers), usually a salad with dressing and sunflower seeds, chicken. I also purchased the frozen meals from the site she recommended. I have had 2. Not bad, handy $7.50 which I didn’t think was bad for a back up meal. I have spent a fortune over the years trying to get thin so I figured why not. I wanted the handyness because like so many others I thought “What am I going to eat!!!?? I have been pretty close to 100% on program. Cheated on salad dresssings maybe a little. I know it cán’t keep falling off like this but the jump start has been great, if it is 2lbs from here on so be it. The stiffness gone is worth as much as my weight loss. Tonight is the end of day four so I am anxious to see if the weight is staying down tommorrow morning. But so far I have felt good enough and it has been much easier then expected to stay on. The hardest was thinking about starting! It sounds so restricting. I have just started the book, just kind of skimmed around to know how to start and probably read the first couple of chapters. I try to read a few pages a day, so far it is fine. It is a diet book, as long as I can figure out the info I am good, she has enough that has kept me full program for 4 days. That is a good diet run for me! I am going to do my best to stay on program for the 21 days. I am sure there may be nights out and social situations that may get tough, but I feel so good I am really going to hit this as hard as I can. I will report later on my results. If this gets me back to goal it will be an answer to my prayers. Given my results when I read the bad reviews I am just shocked. My only guess is off program or the weight issues have nothing to do with food intolerances. Good luck, don’t get wrapped up in the details. But I suggest give it a try. You have nothing to loose, well maybe 21 days, but hopefully it will bring you feeling better and weight loss.

Title: Great diet and much easier than expected
Review: Thank you JJ Virgin for sharing your research and practice with the world. I am on Day 4 of the Challenge and I have already lost four pounds. This is amazing since I am 61 years old, workout with a personal trainer 3 days a week and do more exercise the other days, have eaten gluten free for three years and have been unable to lose on other diets. I am in good shape and only need to lose 5-15 more pounds but I have confidence that I can do this now in a way that I have not in quite some time. On the third day my energy level shot way up and I was able to be more productive than usual. The quality of my sleep is wonderful even better than when I started with CPAP therapy.A few years ago I did Mark Hyman’s Ultra Simple Diet which was hard but got results. I had the same initial exhaustion the first day of this diet but it passed quickly. Now I have so much energy, no cravings, no more muscle and joint pain that were constant before. I am confident that I can lose the rest of the weight in short order and now I realize how important it will be to maintain a viligent watch on what I eat. I know there is another sensitivity besides the gluten and I am looking forward to figuring out what that is. I suspect it is dairy because the only food I really miss is the cheese.Before the book came out I was receiving videos from JJ Virgin and they stimulated my interest. Normally I would not have attempted to diet during the hoidays but I decided to make an exception and I am so glad that I did. This year I am going to reverse the trend of weight gain during the holidays and lose weight instead. I ordered the book the day it came out and got it overnight. It was an easy read and I got through it completely by the next day. Then I took the Challenge and went grocery shopping at Whole Foods. My house is full of fresh organic foods and I feel freed from worrying about my weight and tracking every calorie and nutrient.There are many surprises. It is not hard to follow the diet and by eliminating the seven foods it seems that food cravings are a thing of the past. I have eliminated gluten, dairy, sugar/articial sweetners and soy in the past but not the corn and peanuts. It has been easier to do all of these than it was to elminate just one or two. My recommendation is to read this book and if you are inspired to radically and successfully change your diet and your health for the better you will know that this is the right path for you.

Title: I lost my food cravings and 10 pounds in 3 weeks with the VVirgin Diet
Review: After 2 of my friends dropped 10 pounds and lost their cravings for food after justc3 weeks on the Virgin Diet, I decided to give it a try. The book’s instructions are clearly laid out and simple to follow. Just eliminate 7 foods from your diet and drink 2 protein smoothies per day for 3 weeks, drink plenty of water and don’t snack in between meals. Recipes are even included. It works.It is simple but not easy. It definitely does not cater to vegetarians, but it can be done with will power and determination. The first week is hardest but it gets easier as you go along and the rewards of losing weight and feeling good and fitting into clothes you haven’t worn in years keeps you going. I didn’t even miss the sugar and chocolate. In fact, i came to realize that was how I had put on the weight to begin with ando was glad to change my body chemistry back into the way it was when I had no prblems keeping slim.I took off a star because, as a long term vegetarian for humanitarian reasons, i deeply and strongly disagree with JJ’s philosophy that we need animal protein in our diets. As most die-hard meat eaters, she doesn’t understand about the natural sources of vegetable protein and how the body stores amino acids making it unnecessary to have all the amino acids that make up a complete protein in every meal. That said, the diet works and I look and feel great even though I have 11 more pounds to go. She even gives instructions for exercise to tone and strengthen the body while you are getting lean. It is healthier than Weight Watchers because she guides you into a diet of healthy whole foods and away from low calorie chemically laden foods. You lose weight through changing your body chemistry to something healthier, not by counting calories (protein, carbs, fat, etc)

Review: I watched this woman on Canada AM and was immediately drawn to her message about weight loss and food intolerance. I ordered the book immediately! Not overly excited about the title as I have struggled with my weight all my life and refuse to try another diet but this is so much MORE than that!It is a simple read and I agree with the other reviewer Deb Dorsey,that there is more than enough self promotion throughout the pages,but getting beyond that and extracting the real facts is easy to do. I sat with a high-lighter and pulled out all of the important, useful information.JJ Virgin’s shake products are not available in Canada at this time so there is a little modification to the program but this was not difficult to do it is all just a matter of demographics. The concept remains the same.I began Cycle 1 two weeks ago and have already lost 10 pounds! I think that the best part of this is that after buying the book and connecting with her online there is endless support. She follows up with encouraging videos and tracking information. She is there to answer any questions. I am trying it the JJ way!

Review: I had no idea how important gut health is. I love the way she explains it. I have finally started to lose the excess pounds I have had trouble losing as I am almost 60, and most certainly had poor gut health. I also found out I am allergic to corn and dairy, which also impaired my ability to lose wieght. Best read I have had which explains gut health, exercise and healthy living! TOP!
