Title: Contents as advertised
Review: This excellent new Indian edition does indeed contain the best of saintly Spinoza. Many cogent and penetrating discussions of subjects eternal and otherwise await the careful reader. For students, this budget priced e-tome is a true find. Completists should note that the same publisher has also brought a separate edition that contains most, if not all of the literary remains of this estimable philosopher.

Title: Avoid and buy the Penguin or Princeton versions
Review: This edition was designed in order to make someone money, and has extremely low standards of book design and scholarship. I think it was promoted to the top by Amazon on a search for Spinoza because it’s an Amazon print on demand edition. The translation is public domain, therefore very old and outdated. And the actual text and indexes are laid out and formatted very sloppily.
