Title: Simple But Cool Little Gadget!
Review: We bought this to squirt water into the air in our bird bath in an effort to cool the H2O (Florida, temp right now 98 degrees and increasing). It squirts great! For a simple and very inexpensive little gadget it does its job perfectly. NOTE that it does NOT charge its battery (if it even has one?). It takes electricity from the solar cell and uses it to IMMEDIATELY pump — no sun? no electricity and no pump! But, hay, what do you want for under $15? It does need sun, not just light so not so much pumping at sunrise and sunset (certainly not at night!). Oh Yeah, when its really hot, the temp of our water is still somewhat warm so our great idea of using the fountain to cool the bird water was somewhat of a bust. Ain’t science a kick?

Title: Works only when in direct sunlight
Review: Satisfied with product. However, I didn’t read the description closely before ordering. Operates only while in direct sun, it doesn’t store energy. I placed it on my deck in a wide (12”) bowl. Worked well while the sun was high and bright. Very cute for the price. The fountain works pretty well. If it stops, it is usually due to low water level, or filter or sprinkler cap get dirty. Pump makes lot of noise when water is low. I refill water daily in the morning, depending on the temperature I refill around noon again. Suits my purpose. Easy to assembly.

Title: Great price and Item for my bird bath fountain!
Review: Bought this when redoing our front yard landscaping and could not be happier!I wanted to have a small water feature that didn’t break the bank and allowed the animals to splash around to cool down. Bought two of these strictly on the solar aspect, price, and how many fountain heads they had to choose from. So far, they have worked great. I have had them for about a month now and still working perfectly.I do agree with other reviews in terms of the solar power on this thing. When it’s in full sun, it is on full blast. Although it looks gorgeous on high, depending on what you have it in, the water can wind up outside of the bowl more than in…especially if windy. You will find the need to refill with water alot more often if your holder isnt big enough. I tried all of the heads and none of them solved that issue, so I wound up leaving it off completely and that works fine. It gets the water circulating and the birds still love it.On the opposite end, if this is not in full sun, it stops working immediately. If you walk in front of the sun, it stops. If anything blocks it, it’s done. Starts right back up again but it doesn’t have any battery storage to keep it going if overcast. Not a big deal for me personally, but worth noting.Bottom line: Very happy with this purchase! Birds and bees love it!

Title: Works, But Smaller Than Expected
Review: This fountain was smaller than expected and just okay overall. It does work, and we use it to keep ducks out of our jacuzzi, but it’s nothing special. It needs direct sunlight to function properly and isn’t the most powerful. Decent for the price, but not amazing.

Title: Doesn’t last very long
Review: Stopped working 6 months after purchase. When it worked it was nice. Needed to be in full sun with no shade to work, but once we figured that out it was nice to watch. Disappointed it stopped working so quickly. I do not think the parts on the bottom are sealed well enough and water gets in.

Title: Added fun for the fountain
Review: I like the whole idea of the solar fountain. I like that if the sun isn’t directly shining on it turns off so that it doesn’t run the battery down. When the sun is shining on it spray relatively high for the size. It will float around unless you stick it to the bottom of the fountain with the suction cups that come with the pump.If it floats around you tend to have to add water periodically because the water will spray out of your fountain. It still adds a nice touch and sound to any fountain. Happy with it.

Title: FULL sun required, birds say NO
Review: I gave this product 3 stars because it does work as the description states. However, I regret the purchase and do not recommend unless you live in a place that is always sunny.- The fountain will not work unless it is in FULL sun, hence, it will not work in the shade of a tree or an overcast day. I added a video to show what it does on a cloudy day, it gurgles. The fountain doesn’t charge like some of my other solar items. I wanted to put it right under a tree branch for the birds because they prefer to come down for a drink and fly back to a tree for safety. I’m unable to use the fountain as I wanted.- If the sun comes and goes, the fountain does too. The water will spurt out the top.- I did appreciate the little plastic straws that help keep the fountain in the center.- The water has to be at least 2 inches deep to allow the fountain to work. If working as stated, the fountain will shoot too high and it ends up splashing water out of the birdbath. Maybe it would work better with something deeper than what I’m using. I’m constantly having to fill up the bath.- My birdbath was a happening place until I put the fountain in. Enough said.
