A quick rundown of this product’s key features:

One woman learns the secrets of the five Jaeger brothers in the new romance from New York Times bestselling author Penelope Douglas.

On the other side of town, in the dark glades, under the rain…

Macon is the oldest. Thirty-one. Ex-Marine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile.

Army is twenty-eight. A single dad with the most beautiful green eyes. He has no idea who he is, if not a Jaeger brother.

Iron will be in prison soon. You’d never think it to meet him. He’s a nice guy, actually. But he can’t stop reacting to everything.

Dallas is the one I hate. Twenty-one, cruel, and selfish. He takes and then throws away whatever’s left.

And Trace is mine. Or he was for about two seconds. No one can tame him for long.

Not that I ever wanted to. It was fun, but now I need to go home. Back to my side of the tracks. Away from the swamps and these men. To my parents’ big house. On my clean street. Where I’m never dirty or messy or hot. And I will. I’ll leave first thing tomorrow morning. I just want to crash on the couch tonight.

Their house is dark and quiet, everyone else is asleep. Except for one. He sees me crying and comes at me from behind. I let him wrap his arms around my body and hold me tightly. His breath is on my neck, his fingers are in my hair, and he doesn’t stop there.

I don’t think it was Trace.

Title: I stayed up late/couldn’t put it down..
Review: Five Brothers by Penelope Douglas: 5 starsKrisjen/FMC, Brothers: Macon, Army, Iron, Dallas, and Trace. This story is quirky, and different- and definitely held my interest. Krisjen is very likable and wise beyond her years, with a lot of responsibility and heart. The brothers are foundering mostly due to Mason’s struggle with depression. (Well written!) The chemistry in this book is steamy, but not overpowering. It’s somewhat angsty with an absurdly funny cop car incident. lol!—PTators

Review: I loveeeee Macon ! I love how every brother got a chapter and my girl Kristen was very sex positive with them lol I was here for it all. I expected the book to get a little out of control with all the POVs at play but honestly I really enjoyed it. The development In the characters was really good, I enjoyed going through the growth process with all of them. This was a perfect spin off for Tryst Six Venom , however I would have like more on the other brothers I feel like we got closure for only Krisjen and Macon’s relationship , but Iron , Army ,Dallas ,and Trace’s stories still feel incomplete , they have key pieces of info I feel like we didn’t get to see and I would’ve liked that. Overall it was a good read and I can’t say that I would recommend this which is a little disappointing because I wanted to love this equally as much as I loved Tryst Six Venom but if you already read tryst six then I always say you might as well finish the story out.

Title: Slow burn but….
Review: Like the author’s other books, this was a slow burn. But worth it! I love the way the characters interacted with each other. And I LOVED the ending!

Title: drama
Review: If you have read PD before, you know that she tries to provoke with taboo themes. From the description of the book, you know that there are five brothers and one girl, and that she will have sex with them. Still, I held my breath, hoping she wouldn’t. Silly me, of course. If you’ve read Credence, you might try to spot similarities. Rest assured, the heroine Kristjen is nothing like Tieran, except for her age. Kristjen is level-headed and can stand her ground. She can also say no to the brothers, which I liked and would have liked even more if she could have stuck to her “no.” Her rotation from one brother to another felt more like what you’d see in a soap opera, where the same people keep taking turns with each other, only this time it happens over a couple of months, with all of them living in the same house. Is it weird? Yes, especially when Kristjen, while having a meal with all of them at the table, muses to herself about whose d!ck is bigger. Otherwise, it’s up to you how seriously you take it.I’m sure this is just the first book in the series, as a lot of time was spent setting up this world. With so many characters involved (five brothers, one sister, Kristjen with her brother and sister, and other good and bad people), the book is long. I especially struggled with the first half because I knew the brother she would end up with hadn’t fully entered the scene. Then there’s constant drama with each brother, both separately and together, and with Kristjen’s parents and villains from other book. Again, it reminded me of a soap opera, with emotions spilling over, tears being shed, bold statements being made, and then everyone acting like it never happened. Constant drama overloads the book.I would have liked this book more if there had been less drama and if Kristjen had slept with two fewer brothers. That would have made it a decent read.

Title: Penelope can do no wrong by me…
Review: I think I might just love Penelope Douglas stories more than anything lol. I loved this book. I felt like it carried a lot of the same energies that Credence had and I loved that book. The story unfolding between the connections to all five of our brothers with our female lead is full of so many moments that make you hold your breath. The taboo nature of it all and it being so blunt and in the open between everyone almost made it seem even more intimate in a way. I think my favorite part of the story is how relatable Macon is in his struggles. The depth of his character really stood out to me, and how he is written in to the plot as it unfolds makes you addicted to getting to the end. Each brother you get to know through our FMC the more you love them and see how damaged the household is through loss and grief and how someone like Krisjen can come in and with love and pure intentions of only love can really be impactful in others growth and healing, even if you are only with them for a little while. This book didn’t have a heavy plot at first. It was all just intimate drama between our FMC navigating her relationships with all the men in the story, which is a lot of drama but in the best ways that only Penelipe writes. The complexity of the love triangles and squares and trapazoids lol. She makes you so enraptured with it all and by the time I got to the last few chapters the plot had gotten to be so much more involved with a deeper storyline that I had to keep closing my book to yell lol. I paced my porch talking outloud as I finished this book lol. I missed reading Tryst Venom Six which is the story that comes before this one, and I’m sure it has more context but this book makes me want to know where we are going next!! What will happen to them all?The spice in this book is probably some of my favorite kind of spice. The intense breath holding type. I loved it.

Review: If you loved Creedence, you will love Five Brothers. The two books really have something in common, which I can’t quite put my finger on but it’s, in my opinion Penelope Douglas at her very best! It doesn’t feel too young and not too crazy either, it’s just the perfect amount of everything. People who have read Creedence will know exactly what I mean after reading this. The style is a clear winner and I think a favorite amongst all her readers.
