Title: Demistifying The Guitar Fretboard for Beginners
Review: Unlike what the title might suggest, this is not a typical “how to play chords and songs book” for beginners. It is a guide for beginners having a familiarity with basic open chords to easily expand this knowledge, conquer the fretboard, and progress to more advanced playing by enabling them to become more sophisticated guitarists using only the basic techniques they know. Den achieves this by teaching secrets of the fretboard they can easily grasp. He reveals that the fretboard is not as mysterious and intimidating as it first appears by explaining its hidden secrets via various tips and tricks that expedite learning. By his straightforward, clear writing style and accompanying helpful clarifying diagrams, he demystifies the fretboard by explaining the relationship between chords, chord shapes, and chord scales up and down the fretboard. He presents formulas for creating different but related chords from basic chord shapes and using these chord shapes and related scales all over the fretboard. Review: What an incredible guitar book for beginners. I have never seen any book that is comparable to this one. Small chunks of information make this book much easier to digest and understand. Title: Priceless!!
Review: This book is invaluable! I’ve never really been able to do music books, but after watching Den’s YouTube videos I figured it would be worth a look. I’ve known how to play at an “ intermediate” level for a few decades but I could never wrap my head around theory. He explains everything so simply and clearly. It all makes sense. Thank you Den. Title: Easy to understand
Review: So I’m pretty new to guitar. Decided to buy this book to help me better understand the fret board and the concept of chord shapes. This understanding is helping me with chord progressions which up to now been a huge stumbling block for me. I like the approach Den takes in explaining the manner of how these shapes take form and how they flow along the fret board. I’m still reading the book and following along with my guitar. I am so glad I purchased the book. I keep it nearby whenever I pick up my guitar. Highly recommended.

Title: Improve playing skills and understanding basic theory
Review: Over the years I have purchased many guitar books. This beginner book is very impressive in its ability to clearly explain many concepts with easy to understand diagrams. Chord nomenclature, moveable chords, triads and barre chords suddenly make sense. Other tips include speeding up chord changes, basic strum patterns, rudiments of song writing and playing songs, scale shapes and basics of improvisation. All in all, this easy to read and understand beginner book is packed with very useful information.

Review: I have attempted many Guitar learning courses in recent times. I’m over 50yo so a little old school. I was impressed with the ease of access to The Beginners Guitarist playbook, without having to enrol in an online course immediately. When I received the book as well as two others that I ordered along with it, I was really excited. The information is clear and diagrams in colour. The pages are not small print and therefore not cluttered with information making it difficult to digest. I am also impressed with the ‘why, this is so’ aspects, not ‘just do this’! I have since ordered other books as well. Thankyou. John

Review: There are lots of online guitar tutors, but Den López’s USP is that he knows how to break down complex material into easy to swallow bites. Instead of speaking of the musical term ‘chords’, he prefers the word ‘shapes’; patterns that can be moved over the guitar fretboard.I don’t consider myself a beginner guitarist any more, but this ‘playbook’ still teaches me stuff that I either did not know about, or have meanwhile forgotten. At the age of 73, I am still learning new guitar tricks.I recommend the book to everyone who wants to start learning guitar, or -like in my case- wants to refresh their musical knowledge from ages ago.

Review: Always interesting to me how someone can describe something that has seemed complicated, into something so easily understood. It’s all in the words and delivery of those words, plus the diagrams that add to my visual sense of learning and everything becomes so much more comprehensible. Fascinating! J’arrive à comprendre beaucoup mieux la guitare et comment l’ensemble des notes, cordes et formes sont liés. Une ressource sur laquelle on ne peut pas s’en passer ! Den, le prof, il prend le temps d’expliquer sans se rendre dans des détails qui dépassent largement l’apprenti ou l’intermédiaire de la guitare. En plus il présente ses cours avec un grand enthousiasme. BRAVO! Pour cette raison je viens de m’acheter ce petit livre qui suit exactement le même mindset.
