Title: Great value, great build, compact, easy conversions
Review: Awesome tripod for the money. I bought this for a trip to Iceland and it didn’t disappoint! It is compact enough to fit well on the side of my camera bag and would have been easy enough to take as a carry-on, although I ended up checking it in my luggage. The ball head worked great, and it did everything that I needed it to do as a tripod. The head can be adjusted to go under or above the base, and the monopod is easy to detach and use in a very quick manner. While not carbon fiber light, the tripod was plenty of light enough for my needs. I could hang my 20 lb pack underneath for stabilization in heavy winds if needed also. Extra bonus, it worked fantastically as a bra drying rack for my wife’s undergarments when camping in beautiful iceland. Just conjecture here, but my wife is a B cup, so there’s not as much material drying….. The tripod might struggle and get tippy with D or DD cups in strongs winds. Use your breast judgements.

Title: awesome tripod
Review: This Jolican 80″ tripod is pretty awesome tripod. It just fits what I am needing. The price is just fantastic for my needs too. Since I use a tripod in varying terrrain I very seldom have to raise the center column whether I use it for landscapes, meteors, or northern lights or wildlife. It’s legs are easy to use with 1/2 turn of the nob to extend. Head is easy to use also with detachable plate and swivel head too. Aluminum is light to carry and plenty sturdy for my use. The tripod with my digital camera body and 70-200 lens plus my other lenses easily handles the weight and is within the max weight allowed.

Title: Professional Performance
Review: Extremely versatile. Pro feel and features. Lite weight and very compact with storage case. Very well made with many adjustments (includes allen wrench). Performance way above its price point. Easy setup and a joy to use. One leg detaches to become monopod. Excellent ball head included! Can be splayed or reversed for macro shots. This thing is extremely well thought out and engineered! I don’t see how anybody that’s interested in photography would return! A keeper and a winner!

Title: Uneven when set-up. Extra height is a blessing. Ball head is nice!
Review: I am commenting on the Joilcan 80-inch Tripod which arrived marked as Model H78. I am currently debating if I should return it, although there is a lot going for it. The reason is that when extended the tripod has a definite lean to one side, the side that rests on the removable monopod leg. I’ll try to add some pictures. In the pictures the tripod is not fully extended. Fully extended the lean is even more pronounced. When the legs are together they appear to be the same length, so what is the problem? After further review I determined that the culprit was the orange clip on the monopod leg that allows the leg to rest at predetermined angles. There is slightly more space between the bottom of that clip and the part of the leg that it rests against than there is on the other two legs and this makes the tripod lean a bit. When fully extended this makes the tripod more unstable that it would normally be. There are many work-arounds, simply moving the tripod leg in a bit after setting up is the easiest but then it’s not resting resting squarely in the slot and prone to sudden movement. A small piece of metal inserted between the bottom of the clip and leg would work as well and could be secured as premanent solution. So all told, not a big deal, but not something the buyer should have to put up with on a brand new tripod. Other than this the tripod is quite an extra-ordinary value for all that it does. The extra height is the main thing for me, I like to photograpgh the sky at night and the extra height allows me to see all of the controls on the back of the camera and look through the viewfinder without bending at odd angles. And since there are plenty of house lights around the extra height helps to eliminate glare and flare in the lens. The large ball on the ball head works well and feels secure. The orange clips that I referenced earlier are probably the weakest points on the tripod and don’t inspire much confidence. Otherwise it is a stellar performer. Not professional quality but certainly good enough for most of us amateurs. While considering whether to return it or not I looked around at similarly priced tripods. For the most part they are all the same. I determined that I really don’t need a built-in monopod but trying to find one without it leads to higher priced models, or much cheaper ones. You do get what you pay for.

Title: Sturdy and tall
Review: I’m really liking this tripod so far! I used it for taking some long exposures of the Milky Way. It was simple to set up and the locking rings felt nicely secure and sturdy. It was plenty tall for me to use my viewfinder without squating down; I’m 5’11” (or should i report that as 6′?) For is size, this was a good price and it seems to do the job i need! The ball head had a smooth action and held in place without issue. I don’t have a heavy setup so i can’t comment on the max capacity. The hardest thing is figuring how topit it back into the carry case. There’s only one way to fold and orient the head so that it fits. Lol

Title: Top quality, Solid !
Review: This Tripod is HEAVY DUTY ! I have a 67×100 Celestron spotting scope and I tried three different trpods before I found this one. This is the only one that supports a 7lb spotting scope, and it’s solid, all the adjustments work great, ROCK SOLID. Didn’t have to pay 200.00 plus. Sooo happy !
