Boggs’ ideas on storytelling, team collaboration, and innovative leadership aren’t just recycled concepts; they feel both original and deeply practical. He doesn’t just talk about creativity; he provides a roadmap for implementing it. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to embrace a more creative approach in their professional life.

Title: Unlocking Peak Potential in Business: A Fusion of Art, Flow, and Humanity
Review: “The Business Artist” by Adam Boggs opened my eyes to how business organizations can mimic art and how they can either foster or stifle environments.Despite external pressures, we can still access our peak potential through a state of Flow (which he outlines in a later chapter). When fully engaged in an activity, one can enter a state called “flow.” This state of mind allows us to have energized focus and enjoyment in the activity. His exploration of the concept of “flow” through research and his personal examples are gold for the reader.
Although I can relate to the author’s experiences as a consultant, the book provides insights that reach beyond sales. It serves as a guide to maintaining our humanity with the rise of AI. Highly recommend.

Title: So much to apply within in my own career…
Review: This is one of those rare, really thoughtful books that has provided me a fresh and effective way to reframe the otherwise mundane. The authors provided countless relatable examples that allowed me to be introspective. It’s fun to think about which concepts may already be part of how I think and then others I want to make sure I do not overlook. This read a lot like Malcolm Gladwell’s Blink and Outliers to me. Taking topics I thought I knew or were too ambiguous to make objective and then bringing them together in an ‘action plan’ sort of way. Definitely recommend The Business Artist.

Title: Leading with Soul in a Data-Driven World
Review: Adam Boggs has written a provocative and timely book that challenges many of the core assumptions driving business and leadership today. In an era defined by big data, algorithmic decision-making, and prescriptive management models, The Business Artist asks a vital question: What is the value of the individual?Using music as a central metaphor, Boggs makes a compelling case that every person is a potential artist—capable of creativity, improvisation, and breakout performance. Rather than conforming to rigid systems, leaders and teams can embrace the spontaneity and humanity that spark real innovation. The Business Artist is a refreshing break from the theory-heavy business books that dominate the genre. It’s both a call to action and an invitation—to lead with artistry, to play your own instrument, and to create something that truly moves people.

Title: Use this book as a starting point to claw back your creativity
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The balance struck between theory and simple, practical tips and insights left me feeling empowered. Adam describes the opposite of creativity as consumption, and reading this illuminated just how much we all find ourselves consuming in today’s world. But rather than leave you in the valley of this despair, he offers a few powerful ways to fight the forces that play against you everyday, and get the creative juices flowing.

Title: A unique perspective.
Review: I had the pleasure of working at BTS with Adam for a few years and always appreciated seeing him in his element whether that was a sales pitch or facilitation. It’s great to see his personality and voice come through in this easy to read book that offers such a unique perspective on business. There is a lot to gain by bringing creativity to a largely automated workforce as it’s one of the last levers we’ll have to control as humans. This book gives you a great framework for doing so.
