Title: Works great for receiving
Review: Use this as a receiving only antenna and as a ROA it seems to work great with my Icom-705. Haven’t transmitted on it, so can’t comment on that part of it.

Title: Good Antenna, Weak Connector
Review: This antenna works great but suffers from a star costing flaw. The point where the BNC connector is joined to the antenna is some flex to it, and this makes the antenna bend against the BNC connector on your radio. I tried it with two different devices, and the results were the same. Some people won’t mind the flex at this point, but it reduces my confidence and becomes a source of concern for me as to if it will break or not, at this flex point. If it does break, I’ll update the review, but for now, due to the fact that it works well and has a nice functioning extending antenna rod, I’ll give it four stars.Four Star CB Radio Antenna that has some Flex in the BNC Connector

Title: Excellent value!
Review: I got this as a temporary add-on for my SW radio receiver, and it works great. I bought an adapter so that it fits on my ATS-20 and i can use it to listen to all the ham bands, as long as i am careful. I often get around that, though, by using a short flex connector with it, too. Then there’s no risk of damage. This one brings in all the SW bands, and i raise or lower it according to if it becomes over-loaded on the signal. This is a very handy add-on in my SW toolkit, and it is sturdily built and a bargain at ten bucks.

Title: Great Antenna For CB Radio
Review: I picked this antenna up to try out on my scanner and for my SDR to see if I can pick up CB radio in my area. I love to listen and not much of a talker on the air waves. This is a very long metal extension antenna that you can fold down and store away when not using it. It does a great job at picking up CB radio but not much else. It appears to be tuned only for CB which surprised me a lot. I figured it is an all metal antenna and should pick up other frequencies but nope it does not. The quality of the antenna is superb and I can recommend it enough for CB radio. Pick one up and add it to your kit for scanner radio or even SDR.

Title: Good CB antenna for hand-held radios
Review: I compared this antenna to the short rubber-duck antenna that came with my Cobra hand-held CB radio, and to another longer telescoping base-loaded antenna. This antenna is much better than the rubber duck (as you would hope and expect!), and slightly better than my other telescoping antenna. When telescoped down, it is a couple of inches shorter than my other antenna, so it’s also a bit easier to store. If you’re looking for an inexpensive CB antenna for a hand-held radio with a BNC connector, this one seems like a good choice.

Title: Excellent CB Antenna
Review: Tested on channel 20 with an SWR of 1.12:1. Miles better than the stock antenna that came with my Cobra HT. Recieve clarity has improved and local guys say that my transmissions are clearer than with the stock antenna. A great value for the price, packs up small and the BNC connection makes this a solid choice.

Title: Great performer!
Review: This antenna works really well for picking up the CB band on my scanner. I have never heard any local CB transmissions in search mode with the stock scanner antenna and this unit did the trick! The antenna length is 9″ collapsed and at the full 51″ extension, gives approximately 1/8 wavelength for 27 mhz. When the height is reduced (to about 36″), it also works very well for Railroad, National Weather Service and Marine band frequencies The finish is a shiny chrome and the individual segments expand and contract reliably. The connection to the scanner BNC mount is very secure. Highly recommended.
