Review: I bought an older laptop for my daily use, because it has 64 gigs of RAM and can hold 2 HD’s, so it has both a standard and solid state hard drive and still has a 2.7ghz processor that can be boosted to 3.3. Very impressive specs for a 10 year old laptop. BUT, the wi-fi card is ONLY wi-fi and doesn’t have bluetooth capabilities. So, I bought this dongle. It works great for the wi-fi and bluetooth and I am very happy with it. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it sticks out about half an inch from the USB port. Since this is a laptop, I have to be careful that I don’t accidentally dislodge, bend or break the dongle while moving the laptop around or setting it down. I just wish it were a little shorter. That’s it. It works great, just sticks out a little. A minor issue in the grand scheme of things.

Title: It works, but how it works depends on your device.
Review: 1. Does not need drivers, because the device will install both wireless and BT from the USB. (in the teeny-tiny directions)2. I installed this on a older 2 core laptop. It had no BT and was hoping to speed up the wireless (G) that the laptop had.3. This device will only do some 20 mb down, but that means nothing else is running to take CPU time since you only have a dual core processor. So with just one window open, I was able to watch YouTube (almost perfect image/sound). It’s not the download speed, it’s the processor power.4. Older laptops only have USB 2.0 – so the download speed is limited by this. If this is replacing a bad built in Wifi, or older PC with USB 3.0, this could improve your download speed.5. The BlueTooth installed fine, you can find the BT device and connect it as I did with my BT headphones.6. This is a simple USB dongle, it will take a USB slot when you need to use it. To use the WiFi in your laptop, I recommend you disable your built in (device manager – network – disable) This way when you start the laptop, only 1 Wifi device will be found and connect.7. Most laptop have a removable door for just the WiFi card, but finding the correct replacement card might be difficult and there may not be an upgrade internal card available. But still USB 2.0 will limit your download and processing speed.
