Title: Restored Bluetooth functionality to my Dell
Review: I have an older Dell Precision for work, and the Bluetooth has always been… sketchy? Rather than go through the headache of setting up a whole new laptop with the software I use for work, I opted to order this $10 adapter to see if I could get my wireless capabilities back. Sure, my keyboard has a USB dongle that I could switch to, but wearing a wired headset all day ties me to my desk and means I can’t get up and walk around when I want to.

Title: Can’t be found by Windows 11 (for me at least)
Review: I’ll take this to a client’s Windows 10 computer later to see if I can make it do anything. Plugged into my Windows 11 computer, it flashes red, then red & blue, and… Nothing. Nowhere. Phone doesn’t see it, I don’t see it in Device Manager, and then it stops flashing red & blue and continues to do nothing.I can plug it in and pair it, remarkably, to my existing bluetooth, which provides no actual functionality. It’s a whatever. If your Bluetooth module has punked out on you or your computer doesn’t have one at all, I’d recommend seeing how hard it is to crack the case and replacing / installing an internal device. I view these as cheap & dirty ways to get Bluetooth into something that’s actually difficult to get Bluetooth into. Failed in my case. Might find use for it, that’s why two stars instead of 1.

Title: False Product Description – Do Not Buy
Review: Do not buy this USB Bluetooth dongle. It does not work with MacOS despite the product description stating that it does work with MacOS. It is false advertising by the vendor. The user guide only states that it works with Windows.

Title: Audio only!
Review: Despite what the listing says, this is NOT a full Bluetooth dongle, it only supports audio. Or at least, if it is a full BT dongle, then I couldn’t figure out how to make it pair to my drawing tablet. It didn’t show up in Blueman (Linux BT management software) in Mint 22/Ubuntu 24.04.That said, for an audio device, it works perfectly cromulently. It showed up in my audio output device list with no issues. But I don’t need to connect Bluetooth speakers or headphones to my PC, I need to connect input devices (ex: drawing tablet, gamepad, keyboard, mouse/air mouse, etc.), and this listing says that it can do that when AFAICT it can’t. Maybe this is a Linux-specific issue, but when a device says it supports Mac and Windows it almost always supports Linux too, and if it says Android in addition to the other two it’s nearly guaranteed.

Title: Plug and play and very reliable connections in Windows & Linux
Review: This Bluetooth 5.3 USB adapter works great and is truly plug and play on both Windows 11 and Linux. It’s backwards compatible with older Bluetooth devices, making it versatile for various gadgets. I appreciate its small size footprint—compact but not so tiny that it’s hard to remove from the USB port. The audio quality when playing music through the Bluetooth connection is excellent, and my Bluetooth mouse has been working flawlessly without any hiccups after three days of use. Overall, it seems like a reliable and well-designed Bluetooth adapter!

Title: Not a general connectivity device. Who knows what it is good for?
Review: Here’s their description: “USB Bluetooth Adapter for PC, Plug & Play Bluetooth Dongle for PC, Mac, Headphones, Wireless Audio Transmitter for Computer Desktop, Supports Windows 11/10/8.1″Makes you think this is a general bluetooth adapter for your PC, right? Nope. It shows up as an audio bluetooth connection only. Now that I’ve seen the review and applied my Amazon Seller Description Interpretation skills, I realized this is probably just a dongle for headphones. All that other stuff the seller puts in the description is just misleading.I didn’t get this to be an audio bluetooth dongle – I got it to be an overall bluetooth device – to connect my laptop to all of my devices. It fails at this. Accordingly, I can’t evaluate this device. It doesn’t do what it says it’ll do. Or maybe I’m wrong. I’m just trying to figure out what is going on.Maybe it works as an audio dongle. It doesn’t work as a general bluetooth connection device.

Title: Defective and unusable
Review: Device behaves as if it’s a paired dongle for a headset. Tested on Windows 10 and 11 machines.Shows up in Windows/device manager and is selectable as an audio device. When attempting to use it to pair to another device, Windows doesn’t see it as a bluetooth device and in fact says that one isn’t connected. There is a button on the dongle itself, but the manual doesn’t mention it at all, so no idea what it does, if anything.emailed support email noted in the documentation two days ago — no response. Will update if something changes.Item is garbage.Update February 16:I did finally receive a response from their support. I had already laid out my troubleshooting done already. They provided a PDF of the same manual, but told me not to follow the Windows directions, but instead, just have a headset in pairing mode near the dongle while it is in pairing mode, and they should connect automatically. They did not.I stand by my original review. Do not buy this device.
