Title: Works exactly as it should
Review: Nice clear sound. I installed the speaker in a cubby in the dash and then mounted the radio head directly to the speaker. Works nice for my remote ham radio installation in the car.

Title: SAVE YOUR MONEY
Review: I bought this for my new BCD536 scanner. Although it sounded good, the speaker failed after 2 weeks. replaced it with a MIDLAND speaker (available here) and everything is fine once again. This junk could have cost me the cost of repairs had the Uniden BCD536HP did not have protection for the audio outputs.

Title: Do not buy.
Review: The plastic case and metal grill are decent, but the voice coil of the speaker is dragging on the magnet and when I took it apart to see if I could fix it both of the wire leads came off the speaker and I had to resolder them. Still a POS. Do not buy.
