Title: Fun and interesting cooperative game with great graphics
Review: I really liked this game, even on opening. The graphics are stunning, and the directions are pretty easy to follow.A killing has happened at a creepy carnival. One person is a psychic picking up clues to let the other players try to cooperatively figure out the details. It sounds simple, but it leaves a lot of room for creativity in play, though I’d recommend at least three people, it’s still OK for a one on one play as well.It is cooperative — the “win” is in figuring out what happened. It also requires everyone to bring their best to the game, and to think outside the box. For me, the psychic role is the most fun, but someone else that’s played would rather be on the “deciphering the impressions” end of it.If you like great art, games that require thought, and a leisurely and moderately loose game play, I think this might be a lot of fun. I loved it, and I hope you do as well.

Title: Very fun!
Review: We love the original, and decided to give this one a shot. The game is definitely faster than the original, with very similar game play. The vision cards are always so interesting granted we seem to go through them quickly if we give more than 1 or 2 cards to people.

Title: A great addition to the Mysterium family.
Review: If you like Mysterium then you will like Mysterium Park. It’s basically the same game minus the weapons category. If you’ve never played Mysterium this is the better intro to the game. It has all of the gameplay of Mysterium but it’s streamlined to cut down on the time to set up and play the game. And for those who haven’t played either this is sort of a visual Clue deduction game that is cooperative–everyone is on the same team here. Very fun and not hard to pick up. If you already have Mysterium this is still a whorthwhile purchase. It’s good to bring out when you need a shortened game time.

Title: It’s basically reverse Clue with Dixit
Review: Mysterium Park is a really fun family game. It kind of plays out like cooperative Clue where you’re trying to solve a murder mystery. The difference is you’re only acquiring 2 elements (the person and the place), and you’re actually finding who DIDN’T do it and where it DIDN’T happen. It’s also inspired by Dixit, because a single player knows the whodunit information and tries to convey that information to the other players through abstract artwork cards. I have younger elementary school children, and they enjoyed the concept after my wife and I explained the abstract art and the potential hidden meanings. We have played about 15 rounds of the game and have enjoyed them all. Here’s a quick rundown of the pros and cons:PROSPackaging: I couldn’t be more impressed with the packaging. The items inside are laid out in such a way that every bit has its spot and there isn’t any wasted space.Artwork: The abstract artwork is amazing. The variety fits the different characters and locations well enough to where many cards can represent many different people and places. The dark carnival theme of the other cards is pretty cool too. This would be a good annual Halloween game.Gameplay: It’s entertaining to see how your friends and family will try to convey abstract concepts. Seeing how another’s mind perceives imagery can lead to some good laughs.CONSPlayer Count: The game says it’s a 2 player game. It’s straight up not fun. I’d recommend 4 players at a minimum (1 player as the ghost, and 3 psychics). That gave the best variety.Ghost Challenges: The ghost player can be challenging, especially for younger players. They basically become the game manager by handing out art cards, knowing where the people and locations are, and making sure to not confuse the other players. My wife had the exact opposite problem. She hated being a psychic and trying to interpret what the ghost player was trying to convey. She basically became the all time ghost, which leads to the final con.Replayability: The game is entertaining and can be played several times. However, having a single ghost character run the show every time, eventually you see every person, place, and abstract card. You’ll eventually learn the ghosts card preferences for certain cards, and the game becomes almost too easy/repetitive.With all that said, this game is worth the price. Im also toying around with the idea of using the Mysterium Park cards as a standalone Dixit expansion. I would gladly purchase this again. I likely will never purchase the original Mysterium game. I hope this review helps with your buying decision :).

Title: The fun is the same as the original one!!
Review: I have the original Mysterium game with 2 expansions. Comparing this to the original one, I think it’s easier to set up, easier to learn. However, the playing time is shorter than the original one. It’s like a lite version of it. But the fun is the same as the original one!! If you’re tired to set up the original game, try this!!

Title: This game is perfect! Add it to your collection or buy it for all your friends. You’re welcome!
Review: If you’ve never played Mysterium or are comparing which version to get: GET THIS GAME!! It’s a perfect game for everything: 2 players, groups, strangers, gamers, non-gamers, and all age groups.Pros:Comaraderie: No one can move on to the next category until everyone has found their designated person/location for that round. This encourages a lot more conversation whereas the original encourages folks to play more independently until the end.Time: Since game play can easily be 25-35 minutes to play, multiple people can be the ghost which is fun to see how each player does. The original can be so lengthy that you MIGHT play 2 games back-to-back before moving on to a new game.Price: 1/2 the price of the original. And a smaller box. And the components have their own perfect place when put away.Cons: NONE!Overall: Winner winner chicken dinner. This would also make for a fantastic gift for new gamers, especially if they own the original.

Title: Great imagery and fun game for a family or friends.
Review: I got this game for Ma stepdaughter and our family for Christmas. She’s 10 and my husband and I are in our early 30s. I only say this to say that I think it’s a great game for different ages. The imagery on the cards was very nice and the game was pretty simple to learn to play. It’s a nice game that we can play together as a family but it would also be a good game for my husband and our friends to play. I wouldn’t consider it just a kids game and that’s why I gave it such a high review.Overal, super fun game! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing it.

Review: Not as clever as I was hoping it would be. The vision cards are far too abstract and cryptic making it really hard to make a connection to the characters. You basically end up relying on colour or basic themes to get your intention across.Probably wont see a lot of action unfortunately.

Review: This is a wonderful game. Don’t be put off by the smaller box or lower cost than original Mysterium – this is all about getting lost in the pictures, which are beautifully painted and printed on large, high quality cards. The simple and effective board and playing pieces are all else you need, and the quick set up time is a bonus. The character and location cards are presented in a slightly steampunk style, or at least highly reminiscent of the Victorian carnival era. These are laid out on the game board. The ghost’s vision cards are really quite surreal and, importantly to the game, allow both logic and imagimation to wander in all directions as players try to interpret them.In terms of gameplay the true genius of Mysterium Park is that only one person – the ghost – needs to know how to play it. The others can just go along for the ride! For anyone who has tried explaining the rules of a game to distracted family members or visiting friends, perhaps a little too late in the evening, this is a game changer…
