Title: Works great!
Review: The BT of my computer was a huge disappointment compared to my smart phone. Audio that cut in and out, connectivity issues, just not the same as my phone, which connected multiple devices including audio and never even blinked. This is because my computer had BT 4 point something, and the difference is night and day. This cured it, and even has a replaceable antenna if you want to push the range.

Title: Driver unavailable for Windows 10
Review: Yeah, this doesn’t work for Windows 10. The manual that comes with the device states that you should be able to plug it in, and windows 10 will automatically recognize it and work. This isn’t this case. Instead, when I look in Bluetooth Settings, I see it show up as a Realtek Bluetooth 5.3 Adapter with a device status error of:This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31){Operation Failed}The requested operation was unsuccessful.In short, it can’t find a driver. The manual give a link for a windows 7 driver, though that’s pretty shady since it gives a dropbox link for the driver…Searching the web I find what looks like a home page at maxunishop dot com, but it only gives driver downloads for 5.0 and 5.1 dongles, so that doesn’t seem to work either.In short, I’m going to be returning this product, and getting something different.Edit: With some more troubleshooting I was able to get this to work in Windows 10. In short, I needed to go to Device Manager and under Bluetooth disable the Intel Wireless Bluetooth, then restart the computer, and then plug in the Bluetooth dongle, at which point Windows was then able to go out and automatically find the appropriate drivers. Everything seems to be working after that. Updating my rating from 1 star to 4 stars, accordingly.

Title: That it worked from the GetGo a true plug and play
Review: I used it in my Windows 10 pro PC. I did complete factory reset on my PC reinstalled Windows 10 pro and after that my Bluetooth is in the computer never work again no matter what I did. So I bought this unit it instructed me to make sure that the Bluetooth that was in the PC was turned off. I turned it off installed this device didn’t work I uninstalled my Bluetooth and then installed this device still didn’t work. It finds The TV’s Bluetooth and it finds my phone’s Bluetooth but absolutely will not locate the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard, it does locate the Logitech MX Bluetooth mouse but will not pair with it no matter what I turn off no matter what I install or uninstall..

Title: Worked right out of the box on Win 10 PC within doing ANYTHING.
Review: was about as simple as it gets. Nice clean packaging. screw the antenna onto the USB part. In my case, I put it on the back of my Windows 10 PC/backplane, which faces toward the rest of the house (not the wall) at my office desk. It installed on Win 10 without my doing anything. My Bose QC audio/voice headphones connected to it easily when I pressed the headphones pair button. So far, the range seems great. I can walk around the front half of a 2900 sq foot single story house and the headphones maintain connectivity. Haven’t tried file transfer or BT keyboard/mouse to ‘mainland’ in the adjacent room (game room) yet.

Review: I hate that amazon bundles reviews for different devices. This is for Maxuni USB Bluetooth Dongle 5.3 EDR Adapter which uses the ATS2851 chipset.On the most recent Windows 11 it shows LMP (link manager protocol) 12.513 & HCI 12.513 which means full BT 5.3 support.TLDR: everything is goodIf you have Bluetooth 4.2 you will almost definitely see a significant range increase (double or more)compared to an internal Intel BT 5.1 chip I saw a minor increase, just enough headphones to reach through walls to the far end of my house. The antenna has a standard connector, so if you needed even more range you could use a directional 2.4ghz antenna.I will update if issues arise.

Review: This review is based on Microsoft Windows use only.This dongle greatly extends the Bluetooth range on my premium laptops.I use Asus (dual inbuilt screen) and Microsoft Surface Pro laptops. These are premium, expensive machines and share the problem that the inbuilt Bluetooth radio has poor range. On the other hand, cheap Windows tablets (Chuwi for example) don’t have this problem. I guess the premium machines are trying every trick to extend battery life.I use Bluetooth headsets for work calls for 12+ hours a day and need to be able to go to the front door to accept a delivery or indeed rush to the smallest room in the house (if you know what I mean). A huge problem for me before getting this dongle, was that with poor range, the work call would be maintained, but the headset would lose connectivity. Turning my head, or walking closer to the laptop would restore connectivity but, if I was muted on the headset before the connection drop, it would no longer be muted on reconnection and the sound of “Thanks” (to the delivery driver) or a flush (from the smallest room) could be heard on the other end of a work call.So, for the small price of this dongle, I took the risk and am so happy I did. I can thank delivery drivers all day and flush to my heart’s content.Now, if your machine does not already have Bluetooth, this is a simple plug and play operation. Plug it in and Windows will recognise the device and you can then pair your Bluetooth devices.But, if you have Bluetooth inbuilt then there are a few steps to take before using this dongle as Windows has never supported more than one Bluetooth radio adapter.Step 1. Go to settings/”Bluetooth & devices” and remove every device you have already paired.Step 2. Go to the device manager (Win+X and select device manager), then expand the Bluetooth section and look for something that says “Radio”. Right click on this and select “Disable Device”Now you can plug in this dongle and pair your devices again.For every day use, you can leave the dongle plugged in and all will be good, but if, like me, you travel a lot and want to go back to using the inbuilt Bluetooth radio, simply remove the Bluetooth devices, unplug the dongle, enable the inbuilt Bluetooth radio in Device manager and repair the Bluetooth devices. This sounds like a faff but in practice it only takes seconds.I am delighted with this purchase and am now flushed with Bluetooth range success 🙂
