Title: Blows Vizio out of the water.
Review: I grabbed this on sale at 250 hoping it would be better than my previous soundbars. I had an Insiginia that was too tinny, and old, so it made sense… and I have been rocking 2 Vizio M Series bars, 2 different models, on 2 different eARC Dolby Atmos setups. When I upgraded to an OLED recently I noticed that both of the Vizio Soundbars had a terrible issue of cutting out low bass frequencies when at low volumes and it started to drive me absolutely nuts. There is nothing physically or functionally wrong with either of the Vizio bars, it’s just how they are – and that’s a huge problem. They were also both 2.1 speakers. Now this Samsung blows every soundbar I’ve heard out of the water. Got it out of the box today, setup was easy enough, remote functions well and the instructions made it easy to figure out… this thing has the perfect thumping bass I was looking for. Not quiet, you can feel it in your chest a bit, but it isn’t blowing the room apart or muddying the other sounds and tones. The extra speakers compared to what I had are surely helping, but it also has great quality for my games, PS5, Switch, All of my retro systems running through a Retrotink 4K, from NES to PS3 era… it all sounds great and works well with this bar. And no more annoying poppy crackling, in and out low frequency bass at low volumes – and trust me I checked with my ear right on the thing at the lowest possible volumes. It sounds great! The best tip I can give, be sure to find the best “base” setting you like first, for me it was Game mode, then adjust your bass and sub levels with the remote, then treble, and THEN, do your channel level. I’d suggest focusing on the center first then boost or lower your side speakers. It sounds great. I’m very happy. Paired right away no issues at all with the LG B4 OLED 48″.If you’re like me and already have a bunch of stuff plugged up and want an all in one soundbar with no separate subwoofer or speakers for a bedroom-sized setup, look no further. You’ve found one of the best, especially for the price. Even came with the mounting bits – but you WILL need to provide 2 of your own screws and possibly drywall anchors to put the mount hinges up, those are not included!

Title: Compact Design, BIG SOUND!
Review: I’ve been on the quest for a sound bar since I upgraded my TV last year. I wanted the Q-Symphony integration for my Samsung QN65 but didn’t want, or need, a high-end unit. For my use, I didn’t see the value of spending a lot of money on a sound bar and additional surround sound speakers. I’d read all the reviews and decided to give the S700D a try. Set up was a breeze. I switched of the power strip to my TV, plugged in the sub-woofer and sound bar, switched the power strip back on and everything connected seamlessly. The only setting under audio I had to change was to select “TV + Soundbar” to enable the Q-Symphony function. I noticed right away that the dialog from the unit was much clearer than the TV speakers alone had been prior to installing the sound bar. I was concerned that I didn’t hear sound from the TV speakers while watching standard streaming content, news, etc. Apparently the Q-Symphony function only works while viewing streaming content with 5.1 audio, such as Netflix movies and shows. If you want to put the system through it’s paces, I highly recommend watching “Damsel” and “Oblivion”, both on Netflix. The sound was HUGE and the TV speakers became part of the 5.1 surround effect. With my premium subscription to MAX, I was able to watch content streaming in 4K with Dolby Atmos audio and was very impressed by surround effect produced by the S700D sound bar and TV speakers. Since I do not have rear speakers, I wouldn’t say the sound is “immersive” but there is a substantial depth, clarity, separation, bass response and dynamic range in the audio making this system a great value and option for anyone wanting to improve their listening experience. Many streaming providers offer premium subscriptions that offer 4K UHD and Dolby Atmos such as Netflix and MAX. I added the sound bar to my Smart Things app which does make controlling features a little easier. I’m not sure why but the only sound modes available are “Game” and “Adaptive Sound”. I’m using adaptive sound which monitors the audio in real time and adjust for optimum sound quality. I’m very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it!
