Title: My review
Review: Overall the product works very well and is well constructed. The headset will take getting use to by people such as me not accustomed to a device covering only one ear and clinging to the skull with the opposing clip on the opposite side from the earpiece. The earpiece is cushioned and soft transmitting the sounds very well from it and into the ear canal. The cord I found was sufficient in length unless one is standing while using it or has the phone and base unit far from where they are using it.The controls are all-encompassing allowing for modulation of the sound levels and its tone. They literally have a tone “wheel” to adjust tone as well as outgoing and incoming microphone and headset sound levels. It also has another adjustment for sound labeled “Tx” which also seems to “brighten” the sound. Overall, I found it to be precisely what I needed. And for most people it was even better than I expected, which I think most want to have that as their final evaluation. Yes it rocked in its role and I love it. (but not enought to marry it)It has excellent construction, thoughtfully laid out control, and a solid feel to it. Purchase it with confidence. Only one way to get something that I can only speculate is better is to get the “12 ” model assuming it is better in terms of maybe sound controls or whatever but I can’t see how it is better plus it will cost more:o)Have a good day and please drive through.

Title: Product is great, if you have compatible phone, but instructions are week.
Review: I have had a similar device from the same company for 15 years. It just started getting unreliable so I got this device. It was about 1/4 the price of the original product, and has a cheaper feel with the knobs and stuff, but I expected that for the price and this is not an issue. The headset also has a much cheaper feel to it and will not likely take 15 years of punishment like my last one (price was right though).The setup was identical to my original device, but the headset did not work at first. I followed all the instructions (actually I did not, because I never read unless there is an issue, and there was this time). I noticed, when I finally read over the instructions, there were two controls that were only referenced in the device diagram. The use of these were not mentioned in any setup steps (Configuration Slider and TX levels). I started randomly playing with them and at some point the headset started working. This was not mentioned under the trouble shooting solutions either.The Tone dial also helps improve things, but I believe this was described.I am not going to take off for a simple documentation limitation, so I still give it a 5. The sound quality was great (better than my old device) once I played around with these undocumented settings. Now if it just lasts half as long I will be thrilled.Also note that the headset holder, which I did not plan to use, does not properly fit the thick headband. You could fix this with some pliers if you really wanted to.

Title: Do not buy this item
Review: The design and function of this headset are very poor.The headset mouthpiece that curves around to the users mouth area is entirely too short. Callers do not hear you unless you speak directly into the microphone, an inch in front of your face. But, if you do that- pull it around to your mouth, the ear piece ends up on your cheek! Obviously a bad design.The microphone is not very sensitive at all. No one can hear you speaking. (Unless you do the contortion described above, rendering you not able to hear your caller since your ear piece is on your face now……)The volume control on the phone panel was completely not working. I bought two units and tried both out, interchanging the headsets with the bases, and nothing worked. Both base units did not have any volume control that worked.Nice picture, but don’t but this = you’ll end up having to return it. I have never posted anything on the internet about my opinion on something, but this product was unfortunately such a looser that I want to save others from the same waste of time.Plantronics could have done better. To have received two of these items, and have both products completely not working is a very bad record of quality control.Fortunately since I bought the item through Amazon, the return was fairly easy.

Title: Replacement Product
Review: I bought this to replace an exact same unit that stopped working – an issue with the headset cable.So far the new one is fine. It gets the job done well, however, the weakest point is the headset cable – it should be longer, and the connector should be better re-enforced to hold up under reasonable use. Also, the cable that connects the base set to the telephone has a proprietary plug on the end that connects into the base set. This (provided) cable is quite short, which does not allow for much versatility in placing the unit on your desk. A longer connection cable or standardized plugs on both ends – which would allow you to swap it out for regular phone cables – would allow more flexibility in where you can locate the base set.Sound quality is generally good, and the adjustments that are on the base set are indeed helpful. Not having experience with other ‘headsets’ precludes me from making any kind of qualitative comparisons, but I do feel it represents good value for the price available on Amazon.

Title: Excellent Telephone Headset
Review: An absolutely great piece of equipment for a very reasonable price. It is very easy to hook up to your telephone (note that it is not compatible with cell phones). The sound in the earpiece is clear and sufficiently loud even at the lowest setting. Your voice is transmitted to the party with whom you are speaking with equal clarity. It is very comfortable to wear. The unit is well designed and sturdy. You can’t go wrong with this purchase.

Title: Pretty good but cheap headset
Review: The base works fine. I needed to tune it and adjust it as is normal. The headset, which is the main component for a work at home agent is sadly cheap. I will most likely buy another headset. For the price point, the headset should not be this cheaply made. Hope this helps!
