Title: Great product, low price
Review: I got this rain cover about 5 months ago and didn’t particularly like it. It is huge and doesn’t work well with short lenses or lenses that extend. That’s a lot of lenses. But, I recently got the new Tamron 70-200 G2 lens. The lens is a fixed ~8IN long, which is perfect for this rain cover. I took it out in a downpour this evening and it worked like a champ. My Canon 80D and the G2 are both weather sealed, but I wouldn’t take them out in the rain without the rain cover. Too much water, then you are dealing with fungus (I assume, since I don’t ever plan to let that happen). In any event, the rain cover did well. The camera/lens stayed dry. Its probably obvious, but I used the lens hood. That combo not only kept the camera and lens dry, but not even a drop got on the glass. Eventually my hands got moist, but I still had my arms attached to my hands, so water is going to eventually get there. The second most important point is I could still use the camera easily– though live view was better than the viewfinder. To stress it a bit, I tried video. I expected a huge muffling sound, but that was overwhelmed by the rain drop sounds. Overall, this is a great product at a low price. Even if you only use it once a year, if you have a 70-200 lens (Canon, Nikon, Tamron, Sigma) it would be a good idea to have on hand.

Title: Good rains cover for the money.
Review: I bought this cover for two applications I have, #1 is taking pics of lightening from my porch and #2 is using my SLR to film machining operations in my shop. I now feel I have played with it enough to rate it and tell you a little about it. I use it over a Nikon D810 commonly.First of all, the material is a good heavy weight and seems to be more than waterproof enough for rainstorms and that cutting fluid splatters in my shop. The window at the back is of a good size and I can see the whole back of the camera with no problem. If you sit it so the panel is flat over the viewfinder it is not hard to look threw. The lens leg of the cover works well on the two lenses I use most the 80-200mm F2.8D Nikkor and my Tokina AT-X Pro 28-80mm F2.8. It is easy to put the whole setup in from the zippered bottom.Ok so why 4 stars instead of 5. Well, the openings for your hands can’t really be closed down enough to fully close them when your hands are not in them, so if you set up on a tripod and want to walk away you end up having to fold them under or close them off in another way. I use a couple of Velcro meant to wrap up cables for that, but it would be nice if something was included. Second, while it works well on my fav lenses it is hard to scrunch it up on a smaller lens (Like my 8mm fisheye) without having a bunch up mess while trying to use the window at the same time. Neither issue is world ending. Just worth knowing that they exist. All in all, a good product. I would recommend it.

Title: A Great Quality Product
Review: I live and photograph landscapes in the Colorado and Northern Rocky Mountains where the climate can get extremes in snow and cold, then in the summer it is rain . . . This camera cover is large enough to completely cover my D810 and up to my 70-200mm lens as well as the lower mm prime lenses I use such as the 20mm and 85mm, though there is much excess bulky material when shorter lenses are used.. The draw closures on the front tightens up around the lens hood protecting the lens barrel and the camera housing, and still leaves room to manipulate the lens focus and zoom by reaching through the enclosure of the cover without too much restriction. The clear plastic back allows good viewing of the camera controls and the LCD when using live view, but I have noticed there are creases now starting to show if you don’t protect the clear plastic by making sure it does not fold or bend when putting it away, keep it flat. It is relatively easy to place your camera inside BEFORE you put it on the tripod (having a good ArcaSwiss ball head and L bracket makes it easier to mount on your tripod) so you can make any adjustments before your strap your camera and cover down completely. The hand holes are a little snug, and I find most times I dont use them except if it is really extreme snow or rain. It is much easier to lift the clear plastic back and allows better access to the camera and controls as well as viewing on the LCD screen. Need to lift the rear cover to fine focus anyway, so why bounce back and forth with hand holes and lifting the cover . . .This is a great addition to your camera bag if you find yourself in poor or bad conditions, OR if you want to be able to get out there in all weather conditions. I recommend having one “just in case” . .

Title: Great Protection For Expensive Cameras & Lens! Superb Vendor!
Review: For the LAST time I chose to capture photographS with an extordinarily expensive Nikon covered with a trash bag while my wife held a protective umbrella during a steady rain. Ok why so stupid for 50 years. Habit. I researched several covers and believed it perfect based upon customer reviews. I never make an Amazon purchase with reviewing ratings and reading customer comments on both ends of the spectrum. After untold purchases from Amazon for many years I’ve NEVER submitted a review. In this case I felt onligated. My bad habit was broken and upon use I found this protective camera cover PERFECT. The cost was unbelievable. The quality superb and most importantly I can place this in my camera bag, it takes up little space and the trash bags I’ve carried for 50 years will make great cover when sitting in the rain to photograph a sporting event. One more point. The capacity to use Amazon as one stop shopping with superb vendors like DigitalGoja is why I choose to shop nowhere on the internet than with Amazon. We won’the tell my wife how much I spend. So for my FIRST review after well over a couple thousand purchases is a worthy one. To that end the “Altura Photo Professional Rain Cover for Large DSLR Cameras” is PERFECT! DigitalGoja and Amazon both receive 5 Stars!

Review: I am very pleased with this purchase, it for sure seems sturdy enough to last some time. Having the zipper and drawstrings makes it so may camera keeps nice and dry. The large window is easy enough to use to see everything you will need on your camera without having to expose it to the elements. The price is one of the best things, you can’t go wrong for what you get at this price as I would be willing to pay more for this. Highly recommend.

Review: Product as described, at an excellent price and delivered in a timely fashion, well within the delivery window. This cover handles my Canon T5i, complete with the added battery grip with no problem. I haven’t stood in the rain to try it out, but it certainly appears to be of good quality and meet my requirements here on the ‘Wet” coast of Canada.
