Title: Uniden is amazing
Review: I’ve only had this detector for a few days but I couldnt wait any longer to review it. It’s absolutely amazing. It’s very fun and interesting to know what’s going on around me while I drive. The settings play a big part in how well the detector will work for you, so configuring it correctly is essential. Not to mention, this product is refurbished and it looked brand new out of the box, for a good savings as compared to new. I’m really loving this R4, and I like Unidens other offerings as well. It’s also easily updatable and configurable with Undiens update software. So far, in my short experience with this detector, it’s been a 10/10. If anything changes I’ll update.

Title: It seems to work
Review: I’ve got an R3 and the R7. Love them both. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that the K and Ka bands seem to be lacking. Maybe I got a dud, but I get better range on my older units. I generally still get plenty of notice, but it’s just not as good. Where this really shines is at BSM filtering. It’s way better than the R3 or R7 are. I might get less than a 1/4 of what the older units gave. The bad is the auto lockouts. This thing forgets the auto lockouts and is constantly relearning them. It needs a major firmware update for it.
