Title: Compact and lightweight, but very sturdy
Review: I use a monopod as a walking stick in my rambles exploring beautiful places and looking for wildlife. It provides extra security as I negotiate steep inclines and uneven ground, and I can use it as a camera support too. I have a number of monopods, and I also have a Benro tripod that has a removable leg that doubles as a walking stick. One of the clamps broke on the monopod that had become my favorite for use as a walking stick – an old Manfrotto aluminum, which I liked fro its lightweight, extended length, sturdiness when extended, and wrist strap with a belt clip. The Benro leg is a little short and it slips if I really need to lean on it. I have a big Sirui and an iFootage, both of which are sturdy, but bigger than I like, and the iFootage has no provision for hanging it on my belt. This monopod seems like the perfect replacement for the Manfrotto, and an upgrade at that. It’s more compact and lightweight when collapsed, and longer and sturdier when extended. In fact, I usually don’t extend it all the way to use it as a walking stick. It has a wrist strap and carabiner, allowing me to hang it on my belt. I don’t think I’m likely to use the compass, but it might come in handy, and it’s not in the way. I was a little leery of the six short sections, expecting that it might be less stiff than one with fewer sections. It may be, but it’s plenty stiff. Overall, both as a camera support and a support for camera operator, I highly recommend this monopod.

Title: Perfect size and weight for traveling
Review: I had a clunky and heavy manfroto monopod before, traveling with it was terrible. This one is so much smaller and lighter and still more than sturdy for what I need. I paired it with a neewer tripod head and it makes for a great combo.

Title: Have tried most out there
Review: I have tried most monopods out there, from the $400. ones to the $25. ones. This is the best I have found for what I use it for. Very sturdy and light weight for its strength. I can put my knee into it hard to steady it and it takes whatever I throw at it. It often is used as a wading staff when crossing rivers. I have abused it heavily over the last year and it cleans up and functions like new after each trip. Like I said, I abuse my monopod, and I expect to be replacing one about every two years. So far this looks like it will last me much longer than I expected. Very happy to date.

Title: Extremely light, relatively cheap.
Review: It’s a lifesaver for my heavy birding setup. Despite my qualms below, it’s worth every penny. You really need to crank down on the twist locks for each section to prevent lateral movement. The section count is quite high at 6, compared to more expensive version which tend to be 3 or 4 sections. This negatively impacts durability and deployment speed. It’s one of the lightest monopods on the market, for better or for worse! The compass is a bizarre and, at least where I live, completely useless trinket. Fortunately it is easily removed.

Title: In the jungle….
Review: Recently returned from a photography trip into the rainforests of Costa Rica. There are many places where a tripod would not have worked due to lots of tree roots, etc., and there were times when there were a lot of people around (like when trying to get a photo of a singular quetzal up in a tree) where I would not have wanted to use a tripod. This monopod fits the bill – it is solid yet lightweight. I put a ball head on it, and it worked perfectly.

Title: Great Product
Review: This product has so many great features. It is light weight(Less that a pound). It is made of light weight carbon fiber and compact size is 15.6 inches and is great for traveling. It extends to a height of 61.4 inches and can hold up to 22 pounds which is far better than most other monopods i have researched. My camera with a nikon 850 and a 80 to 400 mm FX lens weighs almost 12 pounds. Most other monopods could support anywhere from 5 to 8 pounds which would be woefully insufficient for my needs.

Review: monopiede davvero ben realizzato.
