Title: Great 2m/70cm Antenna!
Review: Attached to my Jeep using a fender mount that was designed for a tight clean installation – looks great! SWR was amazingly low without any tuning for 2m and 70cm, too. Started put with the whip bottomed out and checked the SWR and it was no higher than 1.5:1 on 70cm and 1.2:1 on 2m. Broadband response, too. Checked with DMR repeaters 20 miles out and worked excellent with my radio. Highly recommend!

Title: I’m Very Happy With This Purchase!
Review: I used a Larsen 270 antenna for nearly a decade. It worked very well, but lately started giving a bad SWR reading. I found this replacement and so far I’m very happy. It is made very well and radiates well enough to get into the repeaters around LA. I like the fact that the whip is shorter and stiffer than the 270, therefore less likely to hit when going through a parking garage or loosen on very rough road.

Title: Dual band antenna
Review: Antenna was a little long had to take off about 3/16 of an inch to get a good SWR match on 2m & 70cm bands. I am using a permanent mount not a mag mount it is attached to my roof rack side rails and grounded. Works Good!

Title: Awesome antenna for the price.
Review: This antenna was an absolute steal. It works as a tri-band antenna. 143-147mhz 1.2 swr, 443-446mhz 1.4 swr and 467mhz was 1.6 swr. Measurements were checked on a Rigexpert and mounted with on a Bulletproof Diesel 3rd break light NMO mount. I utilize Ham 2m/70cm frequency’s as well as GMRS. This antenna feels pretty durable and sits at 21” in hight. Im connected to handheld radio with 5 watts and hitting all the repeaters in my area. Before my transmit signal was not very clear from inside the vehicle. With this antenna I’m getting good feedback on my clarity. Im very happy with this purchase. I was leaning on getting a Scan-III for much more money. Dont be hesitant about the brand name or quality. This antenna will work.

Title: Not a bad little antenna
Review: I live in the Hudson Valley/Catskill region of New York with a lot or hills and mountains. I wanted to try a quarter wave antenna to see how it would do against my Comet SS680SB. I must say, it out performs the Comet down in the low spots hitting repeaters where the 680 doesn’t due to the radiating angle. SWR is near perfect on VHF 2 meters and MURS, fair on 70cm, and still usable on GMRS. I had to remove an inch and a quarter off the whip to get the SWR down on UHF. I may take another quarter of an inch off to see if it helps with GMRS, but I really only use 2 meters/70cm and MURS so I may let it be. I just hope the antenna holds up long term.

Title: Ok – but too long, requires tuning
Review: Overall good, especially for the cost. Initially the SWR was about 1.6:1 on 146MHz and 1.3:1 on 430MHz, and 2.6:1 on 440MHzAfter a few cuts taking 1/4″-3/8″ off at a time with a hack-saw it got substantially better. I unfortunately went a bit too far but not by much. I think I took about 1 inch off (wish I stopped about 3/4″ removed) and now it runs around 1.3:1 on 146MHz, 1.0:1 on 430MHz, and 2.3:1 on 440MHz.For the cost, I’m reasonably happy with the results.
