Title: Thought-Provoking Thriller
Review: Loved the suspense and the main character’s constant battle with his “inner voice.” There’s so much to think about in terms of his decisions throughout the movie, which helped me ponder the effects of greed and self-actualization. Overall, it has a great pace, a compelling backstory, and good, subtle elements of suspense!

Title: A Slow, Unthrilling Cautionary Tale About Rampant Consumerism
Review: OK, That wasn’t what the producer was trying for but that was what stuck in my mind.I want to say this story had potential but I could not figure out why they ignored a plot ripe with percolating ideas but left on the stove too long until the vessel was dry of ideas. It vaguely reminded me of ‘Stepford Wives’ but I think it was just the actress’s long, coiffed hair. So, anyways….. The lead man ( Stephen) has become a failed day trader after he signs up for a course on the subject , a seminar that initially brought him success through teachings from a life coach type . (Think entrepreneur Tony Robbins but don’t overthink it)It was in class where he met his future wife, who has grown wary of his day trading, in particular the lack of success becoming the common outcome and now she wants him out of it. Committed to more courses he meets up with his former coach who convinces him the path to victory is just ahead and achievable: What Michael must do is create, or channel in his mind, an image of positivity- a muse- who can guide him to smart choices and return him to successful results. So, Stephen creates a version of his wife from a few years ago. Why this choice , I’m not clear on. Sure she’s younger, hotter- and it’s not technically cheating on your spouse if you end up having sex with her own image. To bring her into the picture he uses – as inspiration – a sentimental favorite old photo of her wearing short shorts, from younger days. When the illusionary Young Roni – who appears randomly, crawling out from under a bed or spilling out of a closet- starts giving Steve great trading tips, turning handsome profit, we all know it, as Steve starts going on unbridled, wasteful buying sprees. He buys a horse, a puppy, a diamond ring, then leases a seaside rental. Like any second year college student would do, flushed with cash. Except Stephen’s closer to 40.Real trouble begins when the imaginary Roni becomes increasingly demanding and starts being seeing by others. In a scene ripe for high drama, Old, “real” Roni meets face to face with the conjured younger version inside the home’s front door, after returning home unexpectedly . Old, ‘real’ Roni is less traumatized after meeting herself, and more annoyed by the confrontation – as if her younger version was simply‘ the other woman’ from a secret affair Stephen was having. Beyond demanding what the heck was going on, instead of running screaming to the nearest therapist, Old Roni packs her bags in a snit and runs off to stay with her sister. A shrewder person would probably go into witness protection and gratefully let their younger version reclaim her Facebook account and add updated photos , explaining her youthful looks to friends and family as the amazing results from several colonic cleanses. Then scrap her law degree for a business one and open up an office in the garage to package and sell this miraculous product. But Old Roni seems more upset that Steve is still involved in hare brained schemes to get rich. (Well. That, and the girl.)Steve angrily returns to the life coach about the options he has to fix this?My attention span nodded off a bit during his confrontation with his life coach but I did pull from the heated argument that the terms for reversing the chain of events weren’t easy. Clearly Steve hadn’t read the fine print and he has to travel the country via hitchhiking as part of the solution for this deal he made with his life coach ( clearly a representative of the devil) . A price to pay for conjuring doppelgängers and the penalty for ridding them prematurely is expensive. I get it.So Steve is in a pickle. Apparently having lost every gain, he starts traveling across country, hitching rides (and I apologize- not sure why he was doing all this – but I may have nodded off for a millisecond again. It doesnt seem to end well for Steve, despite his pilgrimage, the movie ends like a wet noodle but pushing to elicit an ‘Oh My Gawd!’ reaction from the audience- even though the ‘surprise’ is projected minutes before it should be.Easily, this movie would be at home on the Lifetime Channel but to pay for it??. Although, the film is 85 minutes long , it felt like a lifetime.I rented this on the strong ratings/reviews. I hope my truthful review dilutes some of the enthusiasm of others to rent this. I always turn to a particular website for truthful ratings but sadly I think the influencers pushed harder against showing negative reviews for The Manifestation, to suggest it was better than it was. And it was not “good” at all.

Title: A Good Watch
Review: A nice indie thriller with a hint of the supernatural that adds to the fun. It will make you wonder if self-help is really that helpful.

Title: Suspensor Of Off-Grid Intelligence Control
Review: ‘The Manifestation’ is a film about relationship tension in exotic circumstances. Vronika, or Roni(Inbar Levi) and Stephen(Jack Kesy) are a couple and have met at a motivational conference. Roni and Stephen present a personable, clean, and upscale rendering of their prenuptial romance. The friendship is an engrossing common sodality made taut by continuous revelation.Stephen is a day trader of monetary commodities, using his knack and foresight aquired from his lessons in the studio of a mentor who is named Michael. ‘The Manifestation’ starts out involved. Stephen has lost all the money that he and his soul partner, Roni, have in their shared account. Stephen is on the phone with a bold, gentle, and resilient voice who is oddly positive about Stephen’s bleak situation. This is Michael(Usman Ally), Stephen and Roni’s former advisor and orator. All the way through the mildly forbidding and worrisome suspicions between Stephen and Roni, Stephen is obstinately oriented to a new creed of risk taking. Director and writer Geert Heetebrij has every scene elicit emphatic cosmopolitan insecurity as the money at risk is Roni ‘s too, and also her student loan money. Here, in the movie, an ethereal entity is suggested, but the viewer joins connected plains of solidity as the fear of tragedy carries the terror out into related events. Eventually a superconductor melds irreverrently into Stephen’s ambitions, but he is being coached in the wake of casual extra intelligence. Roni is a suburbanite home maker of worry and poised spriteness, with a super model attentiveness. Stephen is tall and quisitive in some mannerisms, but manly in a short beard and trim hair, and mature in heartfelt commitments. It’s a fun movie.
