Title: Cheap and works on Windows with no driver
Review: I work on a lot of computers and wanted something like this in my tool bag for when I encounter computers that are having network issues or need to be wiped and reinstalled. I probably wouldn’t use this dongle as my daily WiFi as you can spend a little more money and get WiFi 6/7, faster speeds, and longer range. But this is great in a pinch and doesn’t cost much at all.The product description says “Driver Free”. The first thing I noticed is it comes with a driver CD and a QR code to the manual. The manual is 1 page and basically says “Install the driver from the CD first”. Like any real computer nerd, I threw the CD in the trash and plugged the dongle into my Windows 11 computer. It was recognized immediately and added a Bluetooth device and WiFi device. The Wifi driver used was for a “Realtek 8821CU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC”.I also tried on my Mac and it was not recognized at all. I didn’t bother installing any drivers since I have no plans to ever use this with a Mac.

Title: Pretty Much As Described
Review: Having a combination Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapter in USB format was an attractive proposition. This one provided that and was cost effective as well. So, it was ordered. The USB adapter arrived safe and sound in 3 days. Which was right on time when compared to the estimated delivery date. The adapter is rather typical of such devices in that it resembles a small USB drive. I like that it requires no drivers. (Actually, I think it does need drivers but they are self-installing.) Which should mean it can function pretty much universally. Independent of the operating system involved. One thing: It was described as being 600Mbps. However, in the finer print (and on the packing) this appears: Enjoy speeds of 433Mbps at 5.8GHz or 150Mbps at 2.4GHz.So, at what frequency (make that, available frequency) does it operate at 600Mbps?Regardless, at both the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi versions/frequencies which are available to me, the device works.
