Title: What more to say, it’s ORIGINAL
Review: Replacement for the Olympus 14-42mm lens for MFT. The product is new and unopened. Did not consider 3rd party lens cap because of the poor fit (some that i have for other lenses).p/s. Recommend to use a lens keeper for all lenses. Amazon has cheap offer for lens keeper as low as 30cents. That would have save me 10 bucks for this replacement. Just a thought.

Title: This lens does not fit the Olympus 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko Lens
Review: I wish I knew the correct lens cap for the Olympus 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko Lens. This cap is too big.==== More news from Olympus web site ====It turns out that I have the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II. The “II” was not marked on the lens you just have to know![…]The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II was introduced as the kit lens for the Olympus PEN E-PL2. It retains the versatility of its predecessor and features three additional benefits. This lens is designated MSC (Movie-Still-Compatible), which means it utilizes a nearly silent focusing technology that is all but imperceptible when recording HD movies. It also has an increased autofocus speed when capturing still images. Finally, the lens supports M.Zuiko conversion lenses and optional ø37 mm filters, all of which attach to the lens via a bayonet mount located underneath the decoration ring at the end of the lens. This lens is narrower and lighter than the original with a diameter of 2.2 inches (56.5 mm) and a weight of 3.9 oz (112 g). When retracted, this lens is 1.9″ (50 mm) in length. The following Olympus accessories are compatible with this lens:* LH-61C and LH-40 lens hoods* LC-37B front lens cap* LR-2 rear lens cap* PRF-D37 ø37 mm Protective Filter* MCON-P01 Macro conversion lens* WCON-P01 Wide-angle conversion lens* FCON-P01 Fish Eye conversion lensThe M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II R was introduced as a kit lens option bundled with the E-P3, E-PL3 and E-PM1. The specifications of this model are identical to its predecessor, and it accepts all of the same Olympus accessories, including the lens hoods, M.Zuiko conversion lenses and ø37 mm filters. However, exterior elements were redesigned in order to match the more modern look of the new trinity of Olympus PEN cameras. The textured grip features narrow horizontal bands around the circumference of the lens barrel, rather than the vertical bands of varied widths that run lengthwise along the barrel of the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II and M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-42mm f3.5-5.6. Also, the lens is a solid color (black or silver), where the previous version had a silver mount on the black-bodied lens.

Title: Perfect fit
Review: Bought this to replace the lost lens cap for the 14-42 lens on my E-PL1. I lost the first one because it never fit properly (despite it being the cap that shipped with my camera) – it kept falling off while I was walking. This lens cap seems thicker, and I believe it has a different latching mechanism than my original (but I can’t recall exactly how the first one worked). It fits very securely and doesn’t need any jiggling to attach. Hasn’t fallen off once, and I walk around with my camera on my hip (and the lens extended) a fair amount.I bought my E-PL1 with the 14-42 kit lens in April of 2010, in case the lens has changed since then (as another reviewer mentioned was possible).

Title: PERFECT REPLACEMENT
Review: This item was ordered because the original cover for my old PL-1 Olympus was not worn out. It was still working perfectly after thousands of operations…I simply lost it. The only thiing to do was order a factory replacement immediately. This replacement was a perfect match for the lens that needed the cap.It was the 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko Lens. This replacement is identical to the old. I compared it with the lens cap for my 42-150mm Zuiko and it was a perfect match in design….even to the lettering.I am completely satisfied with my purchase of this excellent lens cap replacement.I will give this a solid five star rating for overall value. It is gratifying to know that I can still get exact replacements that work as well as the old.

Title: Perfect fit as a lens cap for the Olympus Tough TG-1 with a 40.5mm adapter.
Review: I am using it to mount the “Olympus LC-40.5 Front Lens Cap for Olympus 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko Lens” lens cap for the camera, as I do not wish to keep the lens open and exposed. I still wonder why Olympus didn’t include a lens cap with the camera.I am using the 40.5mm “Rainbowimaging 40.5mm Conversion Lens Adapter for OLYMPUS TG-1” adapter that fits on the Olympus Tough TG-1 camera after you remove the ring from around the lens on the camera. It is made of plastic but the build seems decent to me. I was able to mount it the adapter and then the lens cap on the camera properly without modding it in any way.

Title: NOT for a 37mm lens
Review: NOT for a 37mm lens!I got this for my 14-42 Olympus and came to find out that I got one that is actually 40.5mm in size. The lens uses a 37mm cap and filter or hood. It is a good quality item, but come on, show that it is for a 40.5mm lens size. There are a number of Olympus lenses in this zoom range, and this cap only fits one of them. Other than that, no problem with the product quality.
