Title: If this series ever becomes a tv show I will binge watch it
Review: If anyone was looking for a Crazy Rich Asians, Gossip Girl, New York Corporate take over, hallmark love story then this is the series! The characters are so well developed and refined that it’s easy to get lost in their realities.I’m a big fan of believable stories, so it was nice seeing a somewhat realistic or believable version of high society life in New York.I am also in love with the concept of the male mc’s repersenting different deadly sins. It gives the story a fairytale/fantasy vibe. (Would love one book of the series to not end in a HEA just for the drama though)This first book of the Kings of Sin series follows Vivian & Dante, as they navigate their arranged (through blackmail) marriage. Vivian is a new money family, who has wealth but lacks status to play in in old money societies. This is evident by Vivians dad being unable to join Valhalla, a club for men that is extremely selective. (Super realistic btw which made it a nice detail) This is also evident through Vivians career as an event planner, there are some events that she does not get selected for because she doesn’t have the right network. (Also super realistic. New York is all about networking.)Dante comes from old money, and is an extremely efficient businessman, but his younger brother is somewhat of a liability, and therefore a weakness of Dante’s that Vivians father exploits.Despite how they were brought together, Dante ends up falling for Vivian and her for him. Vivian is down to earth, poised, funny, and thoughtful. Dante is protective, attentive, and also funny. So it’s not surprise that they naturally come together.Their biggest obstacle is Vivian’s father (I personally would have liked to see them have a longer path to romance/lovingn each other. Maybe some business incomptabilities, or more issues between their ex’s or siblings not liking them for longer periods. I guess I just wanted a longer book) but what I liked alot about this book is that their relationship didn’t cost Vivian her father.Yes, Vivian and her fathers relationship is strained, but she didn’t have to give up her family which I think was also a really believable conclusion. The author didn’t over dramatize their romance, she actually accurately conveyed the struggles of rich, powerful families without having to destroy a family for a romantic romance to thrive. At the end of the story, Vivian still had her father but she acknowledges that she isn’t proud of who he has become and has to distance herself to preserve her own happiness. Meanwhile, Dante supports regardless of his own feelings because he loves her and is mature enough to realize loving Vivian is more important than his own feelings of wrath.10/10 download this book NOW.

Title: Ana’s tightest book yet!!
Review: Woohoo Ana is back baby!! I for one am SO pleased and the only upsetting thing about this experience is that we have to wait until April 2023 for Kai and Isabella’s book (just a joke – Ana take all the time you need to write their story!).I think my favorite parts of this book were Vivian, the tightness of the story, how addicting it was (especially the first half), and how Ana set up this new world while still calling back to the Twisted series.Vivian is a powerhouse and I never wanted to leave her. She’s cool, calm and collected but she will cut to the quick when she needs to. I just love reading about women who are so capable and can advocate for themselves. Some of my favorite scenes in this book were when Vivian was raaaaaaaging at Dante (don’t worry, he deserved it) because those scenes felt so earned. Vivian was able to call out the hypocrisy around her and I loved seeing her growth when it came to speaking up against her family.Ana once again is SO in the pocket when it comes to writing distinctive characters. Vivian, Isabella and Sloane felt very different from the Twisted Girls and Ana writes the nuances between female friendships in your early 20s vs. late 20s brilliantly. It’s so refreshing to read female characters who are three-dimensional, flawed, capable, and lovable. The character development of both Vivian and Dante was well executed. Dante learned to get better with his communication, but it was a gradual and realistic process. This has to be Ana’s tightest book yet. Every scene served a purpose and I could’ve easily read this book in one sitting. I basically had this book glued to my hands for the first half of it because I could not put it down! Also, Ana is so good at delivering on what her readers want – it is such a delight. All the Twisted callbacks knocked me out. We got to reread scenes we already read in Twisted, but just from Dante and Vivian’s POV. Who ELSE is doing that besides Ana?! And Ana knows the readers are coming for a fun, sexy time and she doesn’t disappoint there either. And the secondary characters in this?! I’m foaming at the mouth to read everyone’s love story. Particularly Isabella and Kai (I cannot stress enough how hot Kai is), and Alessandra and Dominic (something tells me Ana is going to destroy the marriage in trouble trope). Is Dante my favorite book boyfriend ever? Honestly, no. But that’s okay!! He is hot, has a lot of passion, is richer than God and is so smitten with Vivian. Personally, I loved the quieter, more domestic moments we got with him and Vivian as opposed to the more grandiose gestures he made.Ana smashed it once again in my opinion and she’s always an auto-buy author for me!!!! A great start to this new series for sure.

Review: This was an ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! Which is surprising because I did not expect to love this book. Whilst I like a good grumpy/sunshine and arranged marriage trope, I prefer my MMCs on the golden retriever side and my FMCs on the grumpy side with loads of flirting and teasing. However, King of Wrath stole my heart and forgot to give it back. The characters were absolutely not what I expected. Dante wasn’t the robot-like and rude person and Vivian wasn’t a ditsy little girl. They were intriguing, multi-dimensional characters and the chemistry between them was incredibly captivating.I often find myself not liking the FMCs. Whether they are too immature or too powerful or too timid or too eccentric, there’s just always something that makes me feel a certain dislike towards them. It’s like there’s no balance between their flaws and positive traits. However, Vivian was absolutely brilliant. She was down to earth, had struggles and although she was what I’d call a pushover in some capacity, it was only visible when she was with her family. Her real self was absolutely amazing, witty, funny, sarcastic. She was a multi-dimensional character and I loved that about her. She was both loveable and relatable. Even when I didn’t agree with her, I could understand her.And Dante? Dante freaking Russo! Absolute boyfriend material. Not at first, but he had gone through some character development without completely changing his personality. He was a character who needed to grow and so he did in a way that didn’t change who he was in his core, rather went through a journey to become better. Besides, one of my main issues with grumpy MMCs is the fact that they are very one dimensional and often not just rude for no reason, but bad people in general. But Dante was entertaining even when he was in his brooding mood and had an actual emotional range rather than just grumpiness. As for the chemistry between the characters… I don’t think I can put it into words. I need to develop my vocabulary because the only thing I can say is it was spectacular. Every word they uttered, every movement they made towards each other, every interaction with each other, even the arguments, the bickering, the witty comebacks, all of it screamed chemistry and tension. It was absolutely captivating. I don’t think I’ve ever read about a more intriguing relationship. It’s like they just fit perfectly. And perhaps, even if the intimate scenes were terrible, it would have been good enough because of the characters, but because they had such spectacular chemistry, the intimate scenes were absolutely terrific. And I just adored that it was an interracial marriage.Overall, it was an absolute masterpiece. I often complain about descriptions and inner monologues when they are too lengthy or too detailed, but in this case there was no issue with the pacing. The plot was interesting, the characters were loveable and relatable, the chemistry between the characters was oozing off of the pages and I just loved every moment of this book. I can only recommend this book. This was a brilliant story, therefore, King of Wrath got 5/5 stars.

Review: It’s a wonderful love story with a beautiful emotional range. The way the author explored the emotions of the different characters was splendid. Though the flow of the story was the same, it was layered well with a lot of depth. The relationship between Vivian and Dante was very well written. The ending was even more beautiful because the author not only tried to mend the relationship between the main characters but also with the family. It also felt nice that there weren’t any forced reconciliations. The relationship between Dante and Francis was left broken and also with Vivian. Thankfully, the author didn’t try to show a change of heart at the drop of the coin as it would’ve been very artificial. Going with a well-deserved 5-star.
