Title: A Perfect Classic!
Review: UPDATE: Satisfied with my initial purchase, I went ahead and ordered another of these 10″ spoons from Amazon.Unfortunately, I must add that one should be aware that the quality of these spoons can vary substantially according to ‘Seller’. Thought I should note this for future customers.—Order (1) Sold by VirVentures: THE 10″ VERSION IS PERFECT! It’s a classic; perfectly balanced and not unnecessarily heavy nor rich house-wife lookin’ if you know what I mean. And the price—at $4.19—was just right.—Order (2) Sold by LUMANI: The 10″ spoon arrived looking splotched with some type of old oil(?) and even the manufacturing quality was second-rate. (eg. Spoon head was oddly shaped and the ‘France’ impression looked slipshod.) Price: $4.94. Order returned.

Title: A fantastic spoon for cooking
Review: If you are a cook, especially one that loves to cook, these wooden spoons are a Godsend. I like these as I like the handles. They tend to be a little bigger in their diameter, which makes them more comfortable to hold and while the spoons are on the small side, not tiny but not huge either. This one is a 16 long spoon and is perfect for making stocks in a large stock pot as the handles will stick up above the pot, even an 18 Qt pot that is also tall. My original one was purchased years ago locally but a black lab I have over periodically smelled the yummimess that the spoon had on its bowl as I was making a delicious thick soup and asconded with it, and ate the bowl off the handle. I’d totally forgot she could get to it and did behind my back. I could only laugh as it was my own damn fault. So bought this one.The tip of the bowl is now scorched but it sees regular use. I have a shorter handle one as well, and its even more scorched and has a crack but not broken as yet, also purchased locally years ago and is also made in France.Definitely worth the $6 or so I paid for it.

Title: Good product, quality control problems
Review: The product is just as it is described, is sturdy, and works well. My only complaint is that there was a slight imperfection in the shaping of the head of the spoon, hence my comment about quality control problems. The imperfection doesn’t impact the use of the spoon, so I decided it wasn’t worth going through the effort of returning it.

Title: Size matters
Review: This spoon is kinda too small to be useful for anything but agitating, not for serving or dipping. And that curve is NOT supposed to be there in the handle. It’s meh, and I’d recommend spending $2 more for…something else.

Title: OK basic spoon for value
Review: Spoon does not have a smooth handle and has started to warp a bit after a couple months but overall good for the small amount of money paid. Great length and sturdiness, just feels like handle will start to splinter at any moment, even with properly cleaning and oiling the spoon. But again, you are getting the utility value of a cheaper spoon.

Review: I love the versatility of this spoon. It’s great for building a big pot of soup from scratch, for making a big batch of tomato sauce, or slow stewing some beans and pork. The slanted edge for scraping up anything sticking along the edges or the bottom, the rounded spoon works great around the sides of your pot, the slots allow the liquid to pass through the spoom gently while stirring to reduce splashing, the long handle means you don’t lose your spoon in the pot somewhere. It’s lightweight but very sturdy. Fantastic utensil.

Review: There is zero bend or give in the spatula. Thus it is impossible to use for flipping a pancake in a fry pan. You might be able to use for getting a cookie off a cookie sheet though. Would return it but for the low price it is not worth my time and Covid exposure in a post office.
