Title: Great Book
Review: We used this book in college and it was full of so much great information that I purchased it to keep for reference. (I have no idea what happened to my original book)

Title: A very good foundation
Review: This book will serve as a very good foundation from which you can build up your theoretical understanding of computer networks. The author uses a very friendly approach to explaining concepts. I highly recommed this book for beginners.

Title: Purchased new; has some exterior issues
Review: The corners of the book are a bit folded up and creased, as well as some more minute exterior flaws. Purchasing new shouldn’t have this issue.

Review: The book is just what I ordered. I haven’t come across any production quality issues that others experienced.

Title: This is the version that’s only supposed to be sold in India, see red corner
Review: That’s what the text in that little red corner reads, that this book isn’t supposed to be sold outside of India. In the foreword and thanks, there’s mention of providing revisions for the Indian market’s regulations. Sadly there seems to be no way to acquire a print version of this book in the US as Pearson only seems to now lease you the book for something like up to 3 years. Not very helpful if you want to have a reference to fall back on in the future. I’m unsure as to what the regulations-based revisions, etc. might be as I haven’t gotten that far into the book, nor know enough about the worldwide landscape to be able to spot something that’s different from elsewhere (it is a book intended to be an intro after all).

Title: Good Writing, Bad Problems
Review: The writing is solid. However, many of the practice problems are unrelated to the content covered in the chapter. It looks like they revised the content of the book and never updated the practice problems.

Title: Not what I thought
Review: I bought this book thinking it was the one I needed for my course. It had the right name, the right authors, but when I attempted to do the first assignment, the questions made no sense. In comparing it and the electronic version I go from Pearson, apparently, this one is a translation that should not have been sold outside the Indian subcontinent.

Review: This book has a nice red label on upper left corner, that says: “Circulation of this Edition outside of the Indian Sub-Continent is Unauthorized”. There are more places where the information provided relates to this fact. So be prepared to get a book with ugly stickers or markings with a black marker covering those signs and labels. The paper is super thin and the print quality is very low. It probably goes without saying that the book is in black and white. This purchase made me pause and think for a minute. By paying 35 euros for a copy of a 3 euro book, not only am I not enjoying reading it, but I am contributing to the absurdity of putting these terrible stickers on the book cover. Also, I didn’t pay the entire team that worked on the content of this book the right amount. I got a crap quality book, the author probably didn’t make anything from this copy, and the character who doesn’t understand a thing about what’s written in this book and can’t even put a sticker on it properly made the most.So thanks, no more Indian copies. From now on, I’m willing to pay x3 the price for quality. And to properly pay the authors for their work.

Review: This wonderful book covers the internet and overall networks with a mind blowing simplicity. No other book I ever found can resume so much in a single place. The authors are highly knowledgeable about the subject, but bring a very well understandable language to anyone wanting to understand about networks. A must read for anyone wanting to understand networks.

Review: I am extremely disappointed for this purchase, quality of the printed book is very poor, it’s a photocopy of the original book. The seller shouldn’t be allowed to sell such kind of degraded product. I will return this book ASAP.
