Title: Simple and reliable—an excellent solution
Review: After two years of using the Motorola MA1 in our 2018 Chevy Colorado, we became tired of the hassle and unpredictability of switching between our two phones. When I saw the AAWireless 2, I decided to try it. I’m extremely pleased with the device. Setup is trivial—plug it in, connect your phone to it via Bluetooth, and it works. It connects immediately, and switching between phones is easy, fast, and reliable—push the lone button on the device, and it switches. I’ve not tried it, but it supposedly works with more than two phones. I love it!Now, here’s a tip for anyone with a vehicle similar to ours. After disconnecting the battery on our truck, the AAWireless 2 stopped working. I tried many things and was about to give up when, in a seemingly unrelated YT video, someone said that you had to reset the date in the truck’s computer after a battery disconnect; otherwise, Android Auto wouldn’t work. I set the date, and everything returned to normal. I’m not sure what vehicles this applies to, but if you have a similar problem, particularly in a GM vehicle, go into settings on your car and check the date.

Title: If you’re having issues, delete the pairing on phone and car
Review: Amazing product. I would buy for all of my cars if they all supported Android Auto. Connects quickly and works the same as a cable. 2020 Traverse. Samsung S22 Ultra. Feb 2025.There’s two tricks if you’re struggling to make this work.1. Delete the device pairing on both ends. On the car, delete your phone. On your phone, delete the car. Then set it up.2. To work properly it seems like the AA device wants to use WiFi to your phone. I believe Bluetooth is only for configuration. The issue here is if you use the car’s hotspot for internet. Your phone can’t connect to the hotspot and AA device at the same time. Not a big deal for me.

Title: Easy setup, no problems using it
Review: Started looking into getting a wifi adapter for using android auto in my car so I could get rid of the USB cable. Saw that the previous version of this device had some good reviews, with several reviewers noting that a new version was due out before the end of the year and it was supposed to be even better. So I went to the AAWireless site and signed up to get notified when it was available. Bought it the day I got the email notification. After it showed up, it took me all of 5 minutes to get it synced to my phone and have Android Auto on the infotainment screen, but this time no wires. I’m using a Pixel 7 Pro in a 2016 Ford Focus ST. Plugged the device into the USB port in the storage area under the arm rest. Keeps it out of the way and hidden, but reachable if I ever need to hit the button on it. It’s so small it fits easily with the other stuff I keep in that compartment. Then:Downloaded the AA Wireless appStarted the carRan the app and went through the bluetooth syncing/setup process in just a couple minutesWiFi came up, phone connected to itCar asked if I wanted to use the new device and run Android Auto, select yesThe map and music apps come up and it even resumes playing the song from where it left off earlierDoneNo muss no fuss.Later I added my wife’s phone to it (same model as mine) since my son’s been using her car lately and she’s been driving mine more. Again, less than 5 minutes. And in case it gets confused over whose phone should be in control when we’re both in the car, you can hit the button on it to switch to another synced phone. That worked perfectly. Using the app I also configured it to just always connect to the last device it was connected to. This also works perfectly. When we’re both in the car, whoever was driving/using android auto last (usually me) gets connected. Get back in after shopping/dining/whatever, same device gets connected. When she goes to use the car without me, her phone just immediately connects. If we’re both in and I’m driving after she used it last, it will connect to her phone, but she just opens the arm rest compartment, hits the button, and it’s my AA now.Another nice surprise was how quickly it connects. The reviews i read of using a wireless adapter all mentioned how most would take up to a few minutes to get connected once you start the car. The AAWireless TWO is usually connected and AA is up and running before I put the car in reverse. If you add the time it used to take to plug in the USB cable (and sometimes fish it out after it got stuck under the seat or wrapped around something on the dash) and then place the phone in the holder, I think this device is actually faster.I ended up replacing my old spring-loaded claw type phone holder with a magsafe one, so now I just get in, stick the phone to the mount, start the car and everything just works. No tangled cables, no waiting for everything to connect. Couldn’t be happier with it.

Title: 6 stars worthy
Review: If I could give it 6 stars I would. Works flawlessly. I have it configured to turn on when my phone connects to my car’s Bluetooth, and turn off when the Bluetooth disconnects (my USB stays powered on when my ignition is off). Takes ~15 seconds to connect sometimes, but I’m ok with that. It starts without intervention – even on the go – I don’t even think about it. I have it mounted with Velcro under my console so it is hidden, but I could easily hit the button if I ever needed to do so. It is 100% hands off, set-and-forget. Definitely recommend, so glad I bought this.

Title: flawless operation. love having button.
Review: just upgraded from the 1st version. love having the multifunction button. 1st generation was great, but was annoying when it often connected to the wrong phone in a shared car and connected phone would have to shutoff wifi and bluetooth so other phone could connect. with aa wireless two, just push the button and will switch phones.version two is faster connect which is also nice.initial setup on both models was glitchy with multiple failed attempts to connect. but once you got past the initial setup, both versions have worked flawlessly.paired with a wireless magsafe charger phone mount and an older aa head unit, this has elevated my car’s tech to a modern level.i will put the old one in my travel kit and use for rental cars. since its already setup and paired to our phones, it should make getting up and running in a rental car tons easier.for button and speed to connect it was definitely worth the upgrade.honda element with a kenwood DMX7706S head unit and samsung galaxy s24 ultra phones.

Review: I previously had a carlinkit a2a adapter, had this for 2 years and mostly worked great. Only annoying thing was occasionally it would drop out when driving and then need to reconnect. When I saw the AA Wireless Two had been released and was now in the uk, decided to get one and try it out. Its a nice small compact unit, the android app works well and has some nice options you can setup with the device. For example auto-standby can be enabled if your USB port never powers down. Firmware updates are dead easy due to the app. So far it hasnt dropped once, even in the spots my old one did. Sound quality is great, connects every time. Would def recommend.
