Title: Good for storing and working on press-on nails that are perched on those little magnetic nail stands
Review: I needed little containers for some of my nail charms, so I grabbed this set of small tins. I love the muted rose and beige combination, but I was a little confused by the listing. It mentions that these tins are the type the “push to open” type, but I found that not to be the case. When I think push to open, I think of my small Harney & Sons tea tins. When you press down on the lid of those tins, the bottom part of the lid flares open so you can easily lift it off the base, but that’s not what th e lids of these little tins do. They fit snugly onto the base, but you have to pull them off. I thought I was losing my mind as I sat there for 20 minutes pushing down the top of each tin. Maybe I’m missing something? If I am, please write a review and show me how these “push to open”, please!A couple of them arrived slightly bent, so I had to finagle them a bit to make the opening perfectly round again. You’ll need to hold the lid directly above the opening before lowering and snapping it down onto the base. If held at an angle, the lid won’t fit correctly around the opening.Aside from that, they look cute and serve their purpose. I appreciated that the set came with a page of stickers for the lid or underside to identify the contents.For manicurists: Since these containers are made of tin, magnets will adhere to them. I’ve found that they’re great for using when you’re in the middle of a set of press-ons and want a place to store the nails that are perched on their little stands with the magnetic bases. I pop those stands inside of these to keep them dust free. Since the lids are magnetic, you can also attach each little nail stand either to the lid or the base of the tin (once you’ve flipped it over) and they can serve as elevated nail stands while you work on them.Side Note: If you need a little ASMR in your life, make sure to lightly jiggle the little tins in the bag they arrive in. The sound it makes is like the tinkling of a small wind chime. Total seratonin booster!
