Title: Wireless heaven for my airsoft kit!
Review: I have been looking for a good non AliExpress option for a Bluetooth connection for my Baofeng UV-5R and these were just the thing. The sound and functionality is easy and works just like the standard shoulder mount speaker /Mic that you can use with your Baofeng UV-5R but its wireless. I love that it is connected to my Baofeng UV-5R and to my phone at the same time so I can go from playing to answer the phone if needed, plus you can play music from your phone on the speaker if you wanted and its not terrible sounding. The little gem that made this a great find was the 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom… I use this with a set of wired bone conduction headphones under my bump helmet and its perfect. The speaker doesn’t broadcast if you have headphones plugged in and the mic on the speaker still pics up just fine with no problems. What you end up with is a wireless option for your Baofeng UV-5R that works well and has great battery life. I used it at the last Milsim style event the team went to and even in rainy nasty sandy dirty conditions this beauty had zero issues. I didn’t get it really wet and of course don’t recommend getting electronics wet but it held up and didn’t let me down. We use a very complex programming setup for our multi squad team and this didn’t have any issues to the point I would say it was as easy as the wired or even just using the Baofeng UV-5R itself. The only quirk is there is about a second or so lag from me saying something to when my buddies hear it, this is evident only when you are super close and can hear them speaking and the mic broadcasting but it doesn’t effect anything.Highly recommend for anyone that doesn’t want the cord and annoyance of a traditional push to talk setup for their Baofeng kit.

Title: Expensive Junk
Review: Product is junk period. Plastic feels cheep. Unit itself claims it can adjust volume on mic and up and down functions do not adjust volume. Speaker sounds terrible. It sounds like a good product idea but defiantly not practical. Just seems that other manufactures make simular units and all are junk.

Title: Hit & Miss
Review: Used this with a Baofeng loud and clear sending and receiving. On my Wouxun, I could hear perfectly, but everyone I spoke to said there was a lot of interference. On a Midland GMRS radio, I could be heard clearly, but had issues hearing others. Same mixed reviews on 4 other HT’s. When it worked, it worked well. But I couldn’t achieve any kind of consistency except on the Baofeng.

Title: Barely usable with Baofeng, unusable with other radios
Review: Sounds great on paper. As some others have commented, mic gain is hit or miss, and in my case, on two units, a complete miss. Mic gain is faaaaar too low to make these usable. And that’s on Baofeng radios. Try to use them on other radios (in my case Leixen, which work just fine with other handheld mics) and all you get is noise, no voice transmission. Just white noise. Tried both units on two different radios, so it’s not an individual unit or radio.Summary: take your chances, and be sure to test these before you actually need them.

Title: It’s worth purchasing
Review: Great options if your lapel cored radio repeatedly break. Great options (PERIOD) 12hrs of Bluetooth time, the mic has 32hrs of run time. (The controls buttons on the Mic is only when you’re using with a smart phone) It does drain “Li-ion Battery 7.4v 1800mAh” faster than its normal operating time estimate time around 20hrs. The 7.4v 3800mAh has a 40hr run time. Volume control is dependent on your antenna and how well the radio work. For example if the radio volume is low or high it will mimic that from the mic

Title: Holding on to hope
Review: Used it for Duty for one day and it seemed choppy with the communications coming in. The music from my phone and connection to my phone was spot on, but the actual reason for the device seems a bit choppy and spotty. I am going to use it for Duty for the week and then see how it works. If it does not meet the expectations that I need then I will return it.
