Title: great tool to teaching.
Review: The book covers several areas that are needed to learn for 2nd grade. Very fun for the student and teaches so much. It is a great learning tool for 2nd graders. My daughter loves it, she is delayed in academics so this book is more for 7 year olds than a 15 year old.

Title: Good for review of essential skills
Review: We homeschool and finished the Complete Book of Reading Grades 1-2 this school year. I ordered this book (as well as the one from Grade 1) to use as summer review before going to the Complete Book of Reading Grade 3-4 in the fall. I love how Scholastic always teaches the essential skills! And I wanted to make sure my daughter had really learned all she needed in Grammar before we go to the next workbook in the Complete Book of Reading series.This book is very succinct with black and white pages that can be photocopied easily. So if you are a teacher, it would work great for that.I was surprised to see that we covered all these skills plus more in the Complete Book of Reading Grades 1-2. So if you are a homeschooler, I highly recommend that book and skipping this one (for grades 1 and 2). Plus, the Complete Book of Reading is in full color, more variety in activities (cut and paste, circle the word, write it in the blank, etc.) so it seems a bit more fun. It also has Phonics activities and Reading comprehension in addition to Grammar.But for summer review, this is good 🙂

Title: Great Educational Value
Review: I started homeschooling my two kids this school year and I bought Scholastic workbooks to use with the online curriculum we are using. I’ve always liked Scholastic’s educational products and these don’t disappoint. My kids enjoy working in all of them but their favorite is Grammar. I like the answer sheets at the back of the book. My only complaint would be that the start of the answer sheets is on the back of the last page in the workbook. I had to make a copy of the last page so I could remove all the answer sheets. I will be purchasing Scholastic workbooks again for next school year!

Title: Perfect for ESL tutoring!
Review: I’m using these books in the ESL classes that I teach (as well as for tutoring) and they are perfect as extra worksheets for in-class review and for homework. I make copies of the pages that I need, as I need them, and then pass them out. I also like that each grammar topic has an assessment page so you can quiz your students on what they learned. I bought these books in grade levels 2 through 5, so I can start with the simple introductions of each grammar topic (2nd grade level) before moving into more advanced grammar usage and sentence building (5th grade level). I use these worksheets in conjunction with the Practice Makes Perfect English Grammar workbooks.

Title: Great Supplement
Review: I bought several of these books due to the pandemic. I had a feeling much of what my children needed to learn was either forgotten or not learned. What can we expect from crisis learning followed by a ‘summer slide?’ I bought the pandemic grade and the subsequent grade. My children get 1 page/day from this and several other books from this group. I highly recommend them. It definitely brushed their skills back up without excessive neediness from me to assist (but I still have to check the work).

Title: Good grammar review tool
Review: I bought this for my son who is just finishing up 2nd grade, to work on over the summer. The concepts are ones he has been learning in school. I find with grammar concepts it often takes a time or two for him to work on the material before he really understands it, so we will use this as a refresher during break. Having this books us a LOT better than me making him worksheets, which I have done in the past!

Review: My daughter is going to an immersion English school (we speak French where we live), she is in grade 2 and this is the perfect level for her to review during summer what she has been learning at school. The book is not to thick so the kid is not discouraged. Perfect book !
