Title: Portable Speaker with Depth
Review: A few months ago I bought a cheap speaker that was compatible with my DeWalt 20V batteries. That particular speaker was loud, but the sound quality was just poor/mediocre. So, I set out to find a better quality portable speaker for use in the boat, while picnicing, or just adding a tune while doing yardwork.I was considering just going ahead and buying a JBL speaker like my friend owns, but ended up ordering this Motorola ROKR 600 speaker instead. This ROKR 600 speaker is a really solid performer. I enjoy listening to talented instrumentals (think Nickel Creek) with vocal harmonies (like The Arcadian Wild, my favorite new band), as well as a mix of bluegrassy artists.SOUND QUALITY:In my opinion, this ROKR 600 speaker is a really solid performer. I enjoy listening to talented instrumentals (think Nickel Creek) with vocal harmonies (like The Arcadian Wild, my favorite new band), as well as a mix of bluegrassy artists. Over the low to medium-high volume settings, the ROKR is able to deliver very crisp sounding instrumentals, catches all of the subtle harmonies with clarity, and the larger amps on the sides deliver a punchy bass (not just the deep tone, but the bass stringed instrument) that comes out in a lot of the bluegrass. I’m very impressed with the sound, and would put it on par with my friends JBL Flip speaker for around the same price. At the maximum volume setting, some of the crisper sounds begin to sound a little “washed out”, but I don’t operate on that volume setting often.SOUND VOLUME:The ROKR 600 boasts 30W of power, and this is plenty of power to fill even a large indoor room. When outside, you lose some of the fuller sound effect (as the walls aren’t sending you anything back), but the speaker is more than powerful enough to project sound in around a 40 ft radius in front of the speaker. There are no speakers on the rear projecting in that direction. As mentioned above, the sound begins to “wash out” at the maximum volume, but only on the max setting.I was going to include a short video of me playing one of my favorite Nickel Creek songs on medium volume. Unfortunately, my Google Pixel phone’s mic doesn’t accurately capture the sound coming from the speaker, so I refrained from posting as I didn’t want it to be misleading.DESIGN:I actually like how the ROKR is square, instead of round like the JBL, which makes it less likely to roll on uneven surfaces. Aesthetically it is beautifully designed, and every square inch of the speaker is solidly constructed. The buttons on the top are large, easy to find, and offer good haptic feedback. The strap is solid and thick, and has plenty of loop to use with a carabiner or loop around your fingers to carry.BATTERY LIFE:I’ve been using it on-and-off for the past 2 weeks for 30 minutes at a time. I’ve charged it once, and each time I’ve powered it on, it’s dropped about 10% of battery life, which seems to fit the 6hr playtime that Motorola claims. If you’re going out for an all day trip, just make sure you are fully charged before you go.CONNECTIVITY:Since I only own 1 of these Motorola ROKR speakers, I can’t comment on how well this feature that Motorola advertises actually works. It would be very cool if these could be configured for a stereo surround sound effect. In summary, I think this is a quality speaker for the price, and comes from a very reputable brand. I’m very satisfied with the Motorola ROKR 600, and I think you probably will be too.

Title: Decent portable speaker
Review: I am not an audiophile by any means, so I just got this to pair with my tablet and phone for slightly better volume and sound quality, and this thing achieved that. No issues pairing with either device (both android), and the buttons work as intended. The overall design seems pretty nice and build quality solod, also it did already survive a minor spill. The audio quality… is ok I think but again this is not something I can judge well, also would have liked a bit more battery life. Overall I am pleased with this thing for my usecase but your mileage may vary as there is now a ton of these things out there to suit different preferences.

Title: Works perfect.
Review: I put this at my store and my employees use it every day. The sound is way more than we need and they turn it up when they’re closing. The bass is pretty good and the vocals are clear. The battery charges up quickly and lasts through a shift. We keep it next to the charger so they can have it plugged in most of the time, but when they forget, it still lasts a good long time. The speaker looks sleek and has easy to use buttons on it. It stays put on the counter where we have it and we’re very happy with it.

Title: Nice design, decent sound, low battery life
Review: This has a nice quality design. I especially like the built in strap. It was very easy to pair with my iPhone. The buttons are easy to use as well. The sound which is subjective, in my opinion is okay. Not fantastic but okay. To my ears the main emphasis is on the high and low frequencies. The treble seems really high. It makes the speakers soundstage smaller and I’m not able to hear some of the details that I can on some other similar speakers I have. Some will prefer the sound, I don’t. Also the battery time seems very low, only 6 hours. Just for comparison another speaker I have is the same size and watts and goes for 20 hrs. Overall this is a nice compact speaker that many will enjoy. I just think you have a lot of options for the price or lower.

Title: Good speaker from Motorola
Review: When I saw this I was thinking “What’s Motorola doing making bluetooth speakers…are they to sell in cell phone stores or something?”. Well, upon first playback I can see that they were pretty serious about these because the speaker sounds really good.Just from the style and sound signature one can assume that this is a direct competitor for the Sony ULT1. It has 95% of the bass that the Sony does and it’s in a nice enclosure. Your $99 is not being wasted as this speaker delivers what you’d expect in this price range. Does it stand apart from others? Well, maybe or maybe not. Let’s get to that…The speaker itself is a mono speaker; there is no left and right channel. This is identical to the Sony ULT1. However, you can pair the Sony in TWS with another speaker and achieve a true L/R speaker pair. I do not see where the Motorola can do that; they only say that you can join 20+ speakers and I’m going to assume they will all be playing the identical thing out of each one of them. That’s a bit of a letdown because these would be fantastic if you could run two and have a proper stereo image. So if you want to go that route, this may not be the speaker for you. Also, the only input is the USB-C charging cord. No aux-in of any type.In summary, I was very impressed with this speaker. It’s right up there with the JBL’s and Sony’s in this price range. If you can find it cheaper you won’t really be giving up much to those top brands and you’ll have a little more cash in your pocket as well.

Title: Nice sound quality and easy to setup
Review: The IP67 water resistance is very good; I don’t have to worry about spills or light rain ruining the fun. It has clear and rich sound quality, making it perfect for both home use and outdoor gatherings. With a playtime of up to 6 hours, it easily lasts through an entire outdoor picnic or a day at the beach without needing a recharge. Setting it up with my iPad was a easy, and the connection has been stable without any dropouts.
