Title: Not worth the price just get a kastking rover
Review: I bought this reel for larger swim baits, and striped bass fishing and its adequate for those task. However I cant get past how garbage the levelwind is, this reel dose not lay line evenly at all. You either get a v shape of line or something close to a ball of line. I mitigate this useing my thumb to assist the level wind. On a more positive note the construction of the reel seems very robust and should last a long time and with the medium gear ratio you do get a decent amount of leverage when fight fish. The clicker is also very loud and the bail release is nice as well. All considered Im going to continue using the reel. The leverwind is a huge miss and my Kastking Rovers will definitely see more use on my primary rods and they’re cheaper reels. So in summary its an OK reel but there are better options at lower price point. Diawa dropped the ball on this one.

Title: Huge Daiwa fan, not a fan of this sadly!
Review: I am a huge Daiwa fan, that being said I am pretty sure this reel is outsourced and slapped with a Daiwa logo because it comes with non of the same quality and realizability I’m used to. I have now gone through two reels. The first one the level wind broke, upon further inspection the plastic gears that interface with the level wind were so loose they weren’t meshing. When reeling in on both reel 1 and 2 it felt very rough with a light sound of rattling plastic. Reel #2 preformed for about a week before making a grinding noise while casting, which has hindered the casting ability by half. I hope this helps someone save some money when looking for a catfish reel. (Largest cat on reel 10lb, largest weight 2oz)

Title: Very disappointed
Review: I liked the old millionairs back in the 90’s so i bought 4 of these to pay lake carp fish with. The reel will not cast any distance at all, I tried 17lb and 15lb line, it will not wind the line up evenly on the spool. The reel is very smooth and I liked the big power handle and soft grips. Other than that the reel is junk, nothing like the old ones at all. Save your self some trouble and buy Abu Garcia.

Title: uneven line lay
Review: Very comfortable handle knob. Most smooth reel under $100. Unfortunately the line is not spooled evenly. The line guide doesn’t go all the way to the left. As a results, the right side of spool has much more line than the left. It has a negative impact on line capacity and casting distance. I spooled mono and braided lines respectively and couldn’t solve the problem.

Title: Do not buy
Review: Had four of them and sold them. Would not lay line even and could not get it to cast that far at all. Save your money and get better than this pile of junk
