Title: Worked like a charm with our trafficmaster floating laminate flooring
Review: We had right around 1000 sq ft of laminate wood flooring to install and had never installed it before. So my husband watched a youtube video using a similar set, ordered this, and things couldn’t have gone any better. He originally thought he would only be using the pull bar, but he wound up using everything in the set. He completed 3 bedrooms, 4 closets, 2 hallways and a great room (living/dining) using this set and all the pieces held up perfectly and everything is in good condition to be able to use again should we ever need to do more flooring (which my husband says he hopes to never have to do again, even though it all went well. was just very tedious and boring I guess). The flooring we installed was trafficmaster and we would definitely recommend this set to anyone installing a similar floor. The results look very professional in our opinion. Worked great and the price is great too!

Title: Essential
Review: This is an essential kit for doing laminate flooring. It contains more spacers than I needed and should be sufficient for fairly large jobs. The hammer block was hard enough to hit but soft enough to not damage the groove side of the flooring piece, however if you have a problem with one piece of flooring beware that the block will eventually damage the groove. The arm tool saved my project. Used a hard rubber mallet and was done with my bathroom in one afternoon.

Title: Good Value
Review: The kit consists of the wedges, tapping block and pull bar.Wedges – I found the wedges effective to use when you can stack the wedges. The ridges on the wedges were very effective at holding the stacked thickness. For narrow gaps the wedges would sometimes bottom out on the subfloor before they would fill the gap. I was forced to lay the wedges on edge which would allow crushing of the flooring at the contact point when I was tapping (sometimes pounding) to joint planks.Tapping Block – This held up fairly well to the tapping. But it did get damaged by the hammer when pounding to jount planks.Pull Bar – The pull bar was a little thicker than I expected. It has held up very well to pounding with a little deflection of the tab.Overall the kit is a good value. I prefer stacked spacers (Pergo) over the wedges. A would recommend supplementing this kit with a rubber tapping block as well.

Title: Great Idea, poor design
Review: I destroyed about 8 floor boards before I realized the paint had chipped off the bottom and was removing the finish on the laminate. I will be returning it damaged. The actual tool concept is brilliant however it was annoying having to put something under the edge to finish the project with the tool. I am now left with several boards that have marks in them and are missing the finish.3 stars is for easy to use and quick shipment. They need to work on their product. I only used it on about 10 boards before the paint chipped and caused damage.

Title: Good Inexpensive Kit
Review: I used this kit to install a waterproof floor in a sunroom. It worked well. The pads on the bar will move, so you need to check it on a regular basis. I used a sand filled plastic hammer from harbor freight to get a dead strike. Everything held up okay. Wish the tapping block was a little larger, but really didn’t have problems. I would recommend this kit to any diy floor installers. Don’t use a standard metal hammer on the tapping block though, it is not made for that type of strike.
