Title: delicious 🙂 grainy, yes but NOT at all gritty or like sand.
Review: true Mexican sugar aka panela is unbleached and retains all of the nutrients naturally occurring in sugar cane including iron and blood sugar stabilizing chromium. first discovered how delicious Mexican sugar was when saved my pennies from allowance to buy one of those packets on the end caps where you can get genuine Mexican herbs and spices (and the ONLY place i have ever seen mexican ground oregano which definitely tastes different than Mediterranean oregano and uniquely compliments the flavor components, if you have not tried, you are missing out, seriously) and to my thinking was the best way to optimize my pennies by maximizing the amount of sugar i could get from my allowance. i was unprepared for how good it would be. i was used to the plain sweet that came in the blue and pink boxes and not the caramel like flavor of the lumps of dehydrated cane juice; what a wonderful surprise :)that is the organic sugar that goes in mexican-style chocolate. then of course the cacao and of course the vanilla beans which grow wild in Mexico. best vanilla i EVER had came from an open market in Mexico in a recycled tequila bottle. the orchids that produce the vanilla bean pods are indigenous to Mexico and a few other places in the southern hemisphere of the americas. in fact, oaxaca is still home to wild vanilla orchids.these three simple but complex flavors make this delicious chocolate. the flavors unfold individually before they meld completely on the palate. it is a unique experience in chocolate.

Review: This chocolate is so unique – first, it is round – each package has two discs. Second, it is not bitter and third, it has a nice little crunch. It is smooth to eat and I really enjoy it with a little coffee.

Review: I purchased this with 3 other flavors. The more detailed review/description is in the review with the flavor that has coffee in it.I do loveee the packaging of this. I do love the taste. The vanilla is very mild. I will be chopping it up and using it in baking, as the texture is a bit different than other chocolates I am used to. It comes with two round discs of chocolate and it is “scored” for easing breaking.It was fun trying something brand new to me. I look forward to other products that you have.

Review: Read about Taza online and was quite excited to be able to purchase through Amazon. Yay. Have used in both savoury and baking dishes. Had a wee taste. Bitter, but pure. I love the packaging. I would use these discs for cooking rather than eating. I will keep my eye out for other products from the Taza line as I do believe they make chocolate bars. I would buy more of these discs. I purchased two different kinds (as of now, have only used one of the two discs in each pack). Would recommend for the chocolate officianado.
