Title: Fun puzzle solving experience with a budget-friendly price
Review: This was a fun puzzle-solving experience, and a good first chapter for a 12 part story. It was definitely more puzzle heavy than a typical escape room experience, there are codes to solve and you’ll probably want a pen and paper handy. While I didn’t use the flow card, I think it would make things a lot easier for a first-timer at these, and help them get into the game a lot better. They make good use of your phone with this – providing very clear instructions, a robust hint system, in-game communications and an optional atmospheric playlist to listen to as you work your way through the puzzles. There’s also an outro video which sets up a cliffhanger and gives a teaser for chapter two.The price seems very reasonable – Twenty bucks for an experience multiple people can share (though I played it solo) is definitely cheaper than a visit to a full escape room.

Title: Fun opportunity for puzzling
Review: Sometimes you’re looking for a puzzle to dive into for many hours or days, and sometimes you want something light for an evening. If you’re in the mood for the second, this first episode of Escape Mail’s puzzle series is perfect. The envelope, while small, packs in a surprisingly large number of puzzles and even includes some tactile elements. Hints are well done as well (through a website) and I particularly liked the optional card which gives you the order of elements used if needed. In terms of accessibility, print in some cases is very small and the “old-timey” font was difficult to decipher sometimes. But overall, it was a well- designed, entertaining way to spend an evening when you’re looking for an at-home activity.

Title: Great family fun
Review: We played this game/episode with our son and dil and had so much fun. It was interesting, a lot of interaction with the game developer as part of the game’s play, via emails and video call. The puzzles were not too difficult, but certainly made you use your brain power. I would recommend this to other families. My son and dil (who are pros at actual Escape Rooms), were excited and asked me to order the other episodes right away. I have ordered Episodes 2-12 to complete the game and look forward to more fun evenings with our family.

Review: We had a fun time figuring out the clues and moving through the challenge. It is not an easy task which allowed each of us to bring different ideas to try and solve the tasks. The game is very innovative using videos and old school pen and paper to solve the game.We have completed episodes 1and 2 and have ordered episode 3. The story line goes through at least these three episodes (of course not yet sure how episode 3 ends😁).A fun and challenging way to spend an evening

Review: 4 out of 5 Stars (4)⭐⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (5/5)[VALUE] (3/5)[EASE OF USE] (4/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (4/5)[PACKAGING] (4/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]This is a really fun and cool concept. The game is mostly text based and you do need a cell phone to scan the accompanying QR codes to access parts of the game. This is a bit of an issue, if you do not have a cell phone in the party of players.Everything you need for this is included in the envelope. This is a single episode out of twelve available. The idea is to continue onto the next episode when this one is complete. There is a cliff hanger of a finish (no spoilers) that is likely to set you up for the next episode, or level.Although the concept is fun and entertaining, part of me thinks that this would be better delivered as an APP on your smartphone, rather than a paper based game in an envelope. Especially, with each episode in the series costing $22.95 (price at the time of ordering), the complete game would cost over $275, unless a bulk discount is offered. This is really fun, especially if you thrive on solving puzzles. I feel it may be best suited for adults, given the offline/online components. The first module can play out in an our or so, so the time dedication is really minimal. This is really suited to those who love escape rooms and solving similar puzzles. All in all, I like the concept and the game play was easy to play along to. It is good for groups of two or more. The first episode lasted under an hour and a half, which is enough time for a social game. Would I order the next episode? I would not. It is basically a one time play through. If this was an APP for your phone, you could port all of the included props into digital assets and costs could be greatly reduced without the need to print or ship physical envelopes filled with game props to access the information, which is part of the game delivered through QR Codes.Cool idea. Fun and entertaining. One time play. Recommended to those looking for an entertaining group game. I would not order again. In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.
