COLT EXPRESS: 10TH ANNIVERSARY – No mercy, no possible alliance: between the cars, on the train’s roof, bullets come from everywhere. The out-laws are injured but they are driven by a single goal: to be the richest in the West! But the Marshall patrols the train, thwarting their nasty plans… In Colt Express, you play a “desperado”, who attacks a passenger train. Every one of them has their own personality, but in the end, they all have only one goal, which is to gather the biggest loot for themselves by robbing the passengers before the train arrives at the station. Who will earn the title of Gunslinger prize at the end of the game? Who will have the biggest loot? A drawn Event card at the beginning of each round indicates the number of turns taken during the first phase, as well as how Action cards will be played. Each player has their own powers in connection with their outlaw’s personality. A game plays in 5 rounds. Each round, there are 2 steps: 1) Programming the next actions. Players plan their moves by programming action cards on a common pile. 2) Performing those actions played during the first step. Outlaws move from car to car, or from the inside to the roof, they steal, they shoot, they avoid the Marshall.

Title: Fun game
Review: This is one of my favorite games. Easy to learn and play. The cardboard stock is durable and thick. More fun to play with people who wish to roleplay as their characters. Its not required to roleplay, but it adds humor and entertainment to the game.

Title: Easy to learn and fun to play!
Review: We had demoed this game at GenCon this past August and I finally decided to get it. We played over Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed it immensely. Very easy to learn, just have to remember that the first card you play when building the ‘deck’ is the last move your character will be making. Every game is different, sovery replayable.

Title: Kids love it, I only like it
Review: My kids adore this game- the opportunity to take out bad guys on a train is super fun. I would like to see more complexity in the gameplay, but as it’s for 5 and up, it makes sense why mechanics are simple. Pondering making variant rules for my 6 and 10 year old to extend play, because they love the train and stagecoach setup SO much.

Review: Colt-Express ist ein Lieblingsspiel meiner Familie. Einerseits ist das Basis-Spiel für mich gerade wegen seiner Einfachheit perfekt. Die Add-ons machen es naturgemäß komplizierter. Es ist aber möglich, sich nur einzelne Elemente herauszupicken und seine eigene Variante zu kreieren. Empfehlenswert ist diese Erweiterung auch wegen der dritten Banditin, falls mehrere Mitspielerinnen am Tisch sitzen.
