Title: BEST DIET EVER!
Review: I am a 38 mother of two. What I really like about this diet is that you lose so much initially. On induction I lost 10 lbs, just dropped it. It is also very easy to follow because I am a meat eater so having the ability to eat hamburgers and melted cheese is really great for me. What I try to do is simple. You have to get 12-15 of your 20 carbs per day with veggies so in my food tracker (yes you need to track what you eat if you can, at least track the carbs) I add in my vegetables 1st every day to make sure I have those. I am very picky and don’t like many vegetables so for me I tend to eat cucumber, romaine lettuce, onions and green beans. All in all about 100 calories to get my 12 carbs and then I can add in my other foods. I really like that this food keeps me full. With this diet, because I am consuming so much fat I stay fuller longer. For instance in the morning I eat eggs, with bacon bits and cheese and seriously….this keeps me full for about 3-4 hours, honestly more like 4. I have to make myself eat. I also love the fat that my body is now burning fat which keeps my tummy flat! My husband has even remarked to me “wow look at how flat your stomach is.” Although he does not want to try this diet, he is sticking with low fat.Previously I lost about 20lbs on a low fat diet, but I had to keep alot of diet food at work because I would just get hungry so much. Therefore, my drawer was full of 100 calorie snacks. And after I lost all the weight on the low fat diet, I tried to keep losing but guess I hit a plateau. I tried everything to lose but nothing helped. I even had one month where I exercised for 1 hour a day every day and….nothing no loss. I could not believe it.Another bonus is that Atkins gives great support. So…. if you have a question you can log into Atkins.com forum and ask and they will all respond with their answers….so easy and convenient. And because many of them are considered Atkins-savvy and have been on the diet for years, they have tons of advice. The website also gives in depth information about each phase and great recipes. There is even a carb and weight tracker if you don’t have one of your own to use. Very helpful. The diet is awesome.The last benefit is that for me I have not exercised at all since being on this diet. I work, have kids, a husband and I go to school so it was great to see the weight fall off when I don’t exercise at all. Now I should mention this is NOT recommended and since I am getting ready to have a Christmas break from school I will be starting back up again. But it is just awesome to be able to take in about 1500-1600 calories a day, not exercise and lose weight.

Reading this book is a return to form of a diet that has been kicked around, rejected, and insulted for years.Things we should all know. Carbs have become the enemy. Whether you are watching The Biggest Loser, reading The China Study, watching Dr. Oz, or listening to Forks over Knives, no one now denies that pasta, potatoes, bread, and other easily digestible carbs are the leading cause of obesity in America today. The major attack on this book is not then does the diet work, but rather, is it healthy. Can someone on a high fat diet live a normal and healthy life, is staying in a state of ketosis good for the body, or, will it make you a pretty corpse. Now, these are major and important questions to ask, and with due dilligence once should begin to come to a better answer.The problem seems to be that radical vegans, people who are anti-meat, which is to say, even if this diet was to come out as being the most healthiest form, they would simply change their platform to caring for animals even more. None of these things worked. Atkins still lives even though the man has died.This new book is a testament to the science that has been done to prove his theories and beliefs accurate, and, to discover that one doesn’t have to eat all the fat, and in fact that the Atkins diet can work for vegetarians, and even Vegans. Review: This is really all you need to have.Either if you are just curious and want to learn in more detail about this diet or if you are looking for the practical application including problem solving on the way, this provides everything.I used the Atkins diet after reading this book to reduce my bodyfat further, so I just implemented the Phases I and II for a couple of weeks at a time, but the results are really amazing. I had the same results within two weeks that take at least two months on a calory deficit of 500-700 kcals…

Review: Excellent – really clear analysis of the issue, and then step-by-step guidance on how to put it into practice. Not only have I lost a stone and a half painlessly and quickly, but my diabetes 2 blood sugar readings plummetted so rapidly, it took my doctor’s breath away. He could hardly believe his eyes. It has also helped lower aspects of my cholesterol dramatically. My husband was so impressed, he began to follow it too, and has also lost weight very quickly and improved his cholesterol results strikingly.I am really grateful to the friend who gave me this book for my birthday – it has changed my life.
