Title: Range is horrible and makes it useless.
Review: Got one of these to use in my skid steer for snow plowing with guys. At about 30’, outside of the vehicle and in line of sight to the next radio, you can hear the incoming audio at about the level of a whisper with the squelch all the way down. Anything further than 3 or 4 car lengths away is just static.

Title: Beware Operator error
Review: NOTE: CB’s generally operate on AM. This thing gives you AM or FM options. If you are using FM, it won’t communicate with others. They should include a guide for this thing.

Title: Work Great!
Review: Easy to use at home or in the vehicle. Use good Ni-Mh batteries and you’ll be fine. The cord for the car is a mess (with the power adapter bottom, antenna link, and charger adapter), but I only use it to charge the batteries in the radio at night with an AC to DC converter (I wish they would have included an AC charging adapter…), but the quality seems good and with some thought, these drawbacks can be managed.

Title: Great price for the features, but short on power
Review: With battery power & 50+ inch attached alt antenna only good for about a mile. Plugged into 12 volt and using a President mag mount well tuned antenna it punched out about 3 miles on a clear day. Features like scan CB channels, NOAA & FM option + ANL are great. I need a regular car mounted CB that can reach out and get traffic info from a few exits ahead & I could not get it from this unit. It is going back! If you use a rental car, this may be great with a good antenna. It is amazing how much stuff they get into a small package that fit in the top of my console!! Would be great for a boat too. Uses batteries up quickly if you talk a lot or scan channels. Great for a kid to talk to other portables on CB band. Good luck!

Title: I would buy a different CB unit if you want to use it on the road
Review: Very displeased with the range and clarity of the CB unit . I purchased it as an emergency back up in the event. I had a problem when I went to test it out. It did not operate with any clarity.
